Find the medicine!!

You get out of your field grays and swap with some of Kenji’s casuals. You carry a rucksack and a gun, making it seem like you’re more a traveler rather than a contractor or an outside policing unit of some kind.

Whatever is assumed first will be your background story. You pass the front gates after a short interview and a check of your “luggage”. They give you some warnings and then told you that as long as you don’t start any trouble for them, they won’t start any trouble for you. It was all pretty basic stuff - just a tad more threatening because they had such a low tolerance for ****. Was it always like this here? Whether it was or wasn’t doesn’t matter - you’ll have to play by their rules for now on. They take your horses and keep them near the gates for when you hit the streets.

Flora leads you around Billings. You pass some stores, but almost everything is closed and boarded for the night. The lighting differs greatly from different parts of the street. Some are well-lit and highlighted, while others are poorly covered by any light. You seemingly walk around for 30 minutes aimlessly without saying. You’re about to break the silence, but you are beaten by Flora.

“I’m lost.”

“This place isn’t that big,” you reply. “How hard could it be?”

“Haven’t you noticed the boards and all?” She sighs. “Must be some kind of weird defensive tactic at night in case they are attacked. I have only been here twice and it's all in the morning. My memory wasn’t as good as I predicted it as.”

Flora stops and crosses her arms, falling into a deep thought process. “We have to get Kenji his medicine tonight. I’m just going to listen to my instincts.”

You smile somewhat, hearing someone that looks like Flora get this serious is kind of adorable. “So, what do your instincts say?”

“I’m...I’m going to ask where the pharmacy is.”

“Oh wow,” the tone of your voice draws her hazel eyes onto you. She knits her brows, prompting you to follow-up quickly. “That’s very tactful thinking.”

She rolls her eyes. “I don’t need any kind of negative feedback! I realize how bad this looks. We’re usually better than this. O-or at last Kenji does - I don’t actually do this often at this hour with someone else.”

Swallowing her pride, she finds a guard and asks about a pharmacy. She makes herself small and as threatening as possible, she even plays an accent. The guard seems amused by her question and gladly helps. You’ve been going the wrong way the whole time!
