Meet with Kenji

You decide to break the ice with two people rather than one. There’s a concerned conversation between Flora and Kenji. It’s obvious that her medicine isn’t just ineffective, but his condition has gone further south since the last time she saw him. “We’re gonna have to get actual medicine...probably from Billings.”

Kenji groans. You aren’t sure if it’s out of annoyance or pain though...The way Flora is looking at Kenji, and the way Scarlet took note are indicators that Kenji plays an important role in this group, so if you want to be accepted with everyone, this is probably a good place to start.

“How can I help?” You offer. Flora looks up, catching your gaze immediately. She’s so...beautiful? From her silky brown hair to her fair complexion. Flora’s hazel brown eyes fixed on yours. Her narrow nose wrinkles a little bit as she fights a sneeze.

“You don't need to worry about Kenji,” she assures, fanning her nose. “We’ll be fine without any additional—“

Kenji interrupts. “Well, the FNG might become a new favorite if he volunteers like this.”

Flora eyes quickly switches from yours to where Kenji is sitting, but doesn’t actually say anything to him. By the time she blinks, she’s back to yours, but with an expression that clearly reads disappointment. Her emotions aren’t voiced however, she just lets Kenji continue.

“I looked over your record with the bounties and contracts... If I remember correctly then you didn’t just go around killing, but you also did some investigative work that involved a lot of sneaking and poking around too from the look of it.” He breaks his gaze from you and fixes on Flora. “Why don’t you bring him to Billings and steal some medicine?”

She groans. “Borrow or buy. Sounds much more appropriate.”

Kenji scoffs. “We’re using our time to buy the medicine. How’s that?”

“When should we go?” You re-enter the conversation, bringing both their eyes on you.

“I can go now,” Flora says. “Security might be a bit tighter at night, but we all have horses, so it won’t be weird to see two strangers riding up at this hour.”

“Scarlet and I had a run in with two of them earlier today, they might recognize me.”

“Big security **** here, it’s fairly unlikely you’ll run into the same ones twice in one day. They’re probably already rotated out for the night anyway.” She sounds confident, which makes you disregard any discomfort in you.

Once you agree to go, there’s a small discussion between the 4 of them. Ultimately, you all agree it’s for the best; not just for Kenji, but you too.
