I wanna do it

When we arrived at the village, it was already dark. There were fires in different places and people fighting everywhere. The first group I saw was Jax with Cal and Mia fighting four bandits.

"Ilene, you show up at a good time. The leader of the bandits is in Mr. Enzo's mansion. Please, go help him while we take care of the scum."

Jax entrusts us to help Mr. Enzo, and for that we must deal with the leader of the bandits.

"Jax, do you know if my parents are okay?"

Amelia is worried about her parents and asks Jax if he knows anything. After all, they are ordinary people who would not be able to stand up to bandits. Very different from Kase. I turn to see him but he doesn't show much concern, even though his father is in danger.

"I'm sorry, I haven't seen them. But there are more people in the mansion, so they may be there."

The bandits give no more opportunity to talk and attack Jax's group. Jax must be of higher rank than those bandits, and Mia and Cal are holding up pretty well. We advanced towards Mr. Enzo's house with the confidence that they would win.

Near the bridge, another group was fighting. This time it is Alice; backed by Oliver, Emma, and Fabe. Behind them is the **** body of James, Alice's husband. And in front of them five more bandits.

"Alice, are you okay?"

My mother and Alice are good friends. After seeing her friend's husband lying ****, she quickly reacted by sounding a little paniced. The panic spread to me after seeing that Oliver had blood on his head.

"I'm fine. They are a little strong, but we will take care."

"[Heal]"

Without saying anything, Amelia used her cure for Oliver. She must also have been distraught after seeing Oliver bloodied.

"Thanks, Amelia."

After hearing Oliver's gratitude, Amelia tried to use her cure on James, but it didn't seem effective.

"We're fine here, Ilene. You guys go ahead and take care of the leader. Once we take care of them, we can help James and the other injured."

Alice, just like Jax, entrusted us to go ahead and take care of the leader. Without saying more, my mother gave us the signal to continue while leaving her words of support for Alice.

I'm worried about Oliver, but now is not the time for that. On the way, we ran into more bandits, and we quickly defeated them until we finally reached the mansion.

Mr. Enzo and the bandits were outside, as well as more people from the village, including Amelia's parents. Upon realizing our arrival, the three bandits turned to see us. They didn't have to say anything for us to realize that the three were stronger than any of the other bandits we had encountered.

"Kase, Ilene. What a relief you are here."

Mr. Enzo quickly expressed his relief to see us arrive.

"Who the fuck are they?"

"The fact that two pretty girls have come this far means that they have beaten everyone they have encountered."

The first bandit to wonder who we were is possibly the tallest and most muscular man I have ever seen. He wears a full armor set with a large shield and sword. The second is a slim guy with a staff who wears accessories that are most likely magic enhancers.

"You're right. After all, our comrades are easily carried away by their animal instincts. As you can see, I'm busy here, so if you wait a moment, I can spread your legs and satisfy your needs later, beautiful ladies."

The third guy to speak had Mr. Enzo by the neck. At first glance, he looks like someone normal. His appearance and equipment fall into what can be called ordinary. The only weapon I can see that he is carrying is a dagger at his waist. Of the three, possibly the tall guy is the leader.

"Let go of him! If you obey, I will make your deaths less painful."

My mother seems tired of listening to the nonsense they have to say. As soon as I see that she is on guard ready to attack, I and the rest of us do too.

"What does that bitch say? Let's kill them before we finish our affair with our old friend."

Old friend!? Is he referring to Mr. Enzo !?

"Listen to me! Once we start, take special care of the guy with the dagger. Something tells me that he is not normal; most likely, he is the leader."

"How cute are you, advising your little helpers!? You're right. I'm the boss! And soon, you will know why."

The guy I thought looked the most normal turned out to be the leader. I guess I shouldn't judge people by their appearance. Most likely, his rank is higher than the other two. Will it be "C"? if he is higher, it will be more difficult than expected. If he is "B" or higher, my mother will be at a disadvantage since we are not adventurers yet.

When I was distracted thinking, the guy with the dagger was no longer where he was before. Where is he? I'm not the only one surprised, and even my mother looks confused.

"Hahahaha! I wonder where he is?"

With a mocking tone, the tall guy ridicules our confusion as he advances against us with a shield in front.

Without even realizing it, the magician had also finished his conjuration and three balls of fire were heading towards us. The tall guy attacked my mother with his sword, but she managed to dodge him while at the same time, she split one of the fireballs that were directed at her with her sword. I also managed to avoid the one that was heading to me by jumping to the side. The third fireball was aimed at Amelia, but Kase standing in front managed to defend her with his shield. The fireball's impact pushed him against Amelia, both of them falling; he on top of her.

My mother, even being smaller than the guy in front of her, knocked him down with a kick, leaving him **** to her sword. She was about to stick her sword in him, but out of nowhere, she jumped back. I did not know why she did not finish him at that moment, but I quickly noticed blood coming from her arm—a long slit below the shoulder.

Out of nowhere, the guy with the dagger reappeared in front of the other guy kneeled from my mother's kick. Just what happened?

"Amazing! It's been a long time since someone was able to dodge my attack when I'm using [Camouflage]."

"So you have a "Skill" to camouflage yourself and make yourself undetectable to the sight."

"That's right! Not only do you have big breasts and a pretty face, but you are also strong. Instead of continuing the fight, don't you want to be my wife? I promise to make you scream every night, and I will even spare the lives of your helpers."

"Stupid little-educated bandits like you are no match for a woman like Iline. If you are going to spend your last moments of life speaking vulgarities, it is your problem, but do not think for a moment that I will allow you to offend her."

The bandits' words had me sick, and I was about to say something, but Kase was ahead of me. And what's more, his words seem like they really offended the bandits because of the angry face they have now.

"I'm going to kill you first, brat."

This little pause was enough for us to regroup just as they did. They planned to use the same strategy. Their leader again disappeared while the magician cast his fireballs, and the muscular guy attacked head-on. But this time we knew what to expect.

I may not be as strong as my mother or Kase, but there is something I have confidence in, and it is in my senses. My sight, smell and hearing have always been superior to anyone else's. I had already identified the scent of the camouflage bandit, and I know exactly where he is.

The muscular guy attacked my mother again, but this time instead of striking back, she dodged him and headed towards the wizard. The magician panicked and launched all his attacks against her, but my mother easily dodged or stopped them with her shield. Once in front of him, she took his life with a swing of her sword. The tall guy, by distracting himself with my mother, gave Kase and me a chance to attack. Our attacks managed to damage him, but nothing fatal, he quickly took back control and began to attack us. But as a great surprise, Kase and I are currently a good team in combat. Between attacks and dodges and receiving the help of Amelia, we finally managed to damage him enough to defeat him. All that was needed now was the final blow to snatch him from his life, which Kase was about to give but not me.

All this time, I was aware of where their leader was. I threw my sword with all my might at what seemed to be aimed at Amelia, but in reality, the bandit leader had Amelia in his sights from the beginning and was about to attack her. My sword shot went through his back at chest level, splattering blood on Amelia's face.

"UHGG!! "

"I-Impossible... H-How... did you ...know?"

The bandit boss fell to the ground and pool of blood formed on his lying body.

"You are done. Scum like you deserves to suffer."

Those are Kase's words, but in a way, he's right. I wonder how many innocent people he killed? Amelia looked scared to see the guy in agony and more with his blood on his face. But I felt calm for some reason. My mother pierced his heart with her sword ended his suffering.

"You defended yourself well, Darx. I'm proud."

"Thanks, Mom"

Amelia and Kase went to ensure their parents' well-being, but they were all okay with just a few hits. Jax and Alice's groups also eliminated the other bandits with some escaping into the forest, but my mother and Jax were given the task of hunting them down, while Alice was guarding the village. The rest of the people of the town entrusted themselves to helping the injured and putting out the fires.

It was a long night that left many injured villagers, including James and Mia. After making sure that everything was fine, we were finally able to go to rest.

In the morning, Amelia and I went to check on James, who had both legs broken. Luckily he was better thanks to the care of Alice and her daughter. We spent the whole morning talking with them while Amelia played with the little girl trying to cheer her up.

"Thanks for coming! Oh, Darx, please remind Ilene of the promise she made to me."

Now that I remember, my mother promised Alice to go out for a drink.

"I'll make sure to remind her."

It looks like it was raining while we were inside. On cloudy days like today, I would like to be stuck in my room by the window reading books, but unfortunately, there are still things to help within the village after last night. Why did these bandits attack the town out of nowhere? It seems that their boss knew Mr. Enzo ...

"Are you okay, Darx? You were lost in your thoughts."

"It's nothing, and what about you, Amelia? Aren't you too tired !? You used a lot of mana yesterday healing the injured."

"I'm a little tired, but nothing serious."

Amelia is the only one who knows a little healing magic in the village. After what happened, many people had some injuries, and Amelia spent much of the night helping.

I turned in the direction where Amelia was looking, and just as she said, Kase and Mia were coming to where we were.

"Amelia, how are you? I no longer had the opportunity to see you last night because I was helping my father."

Without even saying hello, Kase, as usual, immediately focused on Amelia while Mia clung to me and showed me her injured arm.

"I'm fine, Kase. Just a little tired. Jax told me in the morning that training will be suspended for a few days while they investigate the attack."

"Knowing that you're okay Amelia, takes a load off my mind."

"Ahh, thanks..."

Knowing Amelia, I'm sure she doesn't know how to deal with Kase's attention either. Kaze is not to my liking, but last night we made a good team when we defeat the muscular bandit.

"It would be boring to do nothing. Why don't we go to the mine to explore, Amelia?"

"Not at all! There are no more trolls. Remember that I accompany the elimination group. Inside the mine is an interesting place. I'm sure you will like it."

"I don't know... I'll go only if Darx goes too."

Kase's proposal doesn't sound too bad. I've always been curious to see the inside of the mine , and there must be nothing dangerous since the adventurers had to eliminate any monsters inside while they were in their troll hunt. It is a perfect time.

"You heard Amelia, Darx. Will you go?"

"I like the idea. I will go!"

"In that case, let's go the day after tomorrow while things are calming down a bit."

"I'm sad, I want to go too. But I can't with my arm in this state. Hug me, Darx?"

"You're not sad, Mia, you're just looking for excuses to attach yourself to Darx, aren't you ashamed? Get away from him."

Amelia only gets mad this way when it comes to Mia. If Kase and I are like oil and water, it must be the same for Amelia and Mia.

"Your popularity with girls makes me envious, Darx. You have to pass the secret."

Kase's comments only make things worse. Amelia and Mia are on the verge of starting a fight.

"Don't you think Amelia and Kase make a good couple, Darx? They should start dating so we can have a double date once we're in [Riledo]." Mia suddenly says.

"What?"

"I like Mia's suggestion."

Kase saying that he is in favor of Mia's absurd idea, makes everyone turn to look at him with a shocked face. What is he thinking?

"Why, whenever I see you guys, do you have to be making a fuss? I can hear you from outside the village."

Before we could say anything, Jax appeared behind us.

"Instead of wasting time, I need your help. Kase and Amelia come with me. I want to go around the village to make sure that there is no more danger. Darx and Mia, you go to Mr. Enzo's mansion. He has matters with which he needs help."

"With pleasure!"

Mia was the only one to answer. I guess there is no other option but to part ways, even though I don't like the idea of leaving Amelia alone with Kase.

"I'll see you later, Darx. Be careful."

"You too, Amelia."

"I have you all to myself today, Darx. Take good care of me."

It's hard for me to know when Mia is serious and when she's just joking. As Jax said, Mia and I headed to Mr. Enzo's mansion. Once there, he explained to us what he needed help with.

"Last night, the bandits took belongings from the mansion, including a sword that has passed for generations in my family. It is a sword that is given to the next heir. I was planning to give it to Kase before he left, but I can't find it anywhere."

"What does the sword look like?"

"The easiest way to identify it is by a large diamond that is embedded in the grip. The bandits must have had somewhere nearby where they keep everything they stole. Please find the sword, and I'll be sure to make it up to you generously."

It will be difficult to find in so much terrain. For now, it would be best to ask around the village in case someone saw something.

"We will do our best to find the sword."

We left the mansion and walked for a few hours inside the village, asking if anyone knew something without much luck. I wasn't expecting it, but I didn't have a bad time with Mia. She usually is a bit scandalous and is always causing problems, but she acts quite feminine with the two of us alone. Her way of getting around with people is different from Amelia's, but Mia also seems to get along with everyone. I wonder how Amelia is doing...

It was getting late when a child told us that he saw some bandits carry things north following the river.

It's strange, Amelia and I were at the waterfall, and we didn't see anyone. Wait, now that I remember when we were on our way to the village, and we ran into my mother and the bandits, they seemed to be heading north. Maybe the cave we used to use as a secret base when we were kids !? It is not in sight of where Amelia and I were, and that is why we did not see anything, but it is the perfect place to store things.

"What are you thinking about, Darx? You are very quiet all of a sudden."

"I think I know where the sword can be."

"Really?"

I explained to Mia what I thought, and we set off to the cave. Once in the cave, we saw boxes full of things that were not there when I was here with Oliver.

"You were right, Darx !! They were keeping the things they stole here."

Mia had the countenance of a small girl after receiving a new toy. Mia and I started looking through the things in search of the sword until I saw it lying behind one of the boxes.

"I found the sword, Mia. We can go back."

"Why the rush? There are valuable things here. We have to take what we can. We could even tell Mr. Enzo that we couldn't find the sword and sell it in the city. I'm sure it's worth a fortune."

"Don't say nonsense, Mia. None of this belongs to us. We have to return the sword and inform Mr. Enzo of this place so that he can collect his things."

Mia sighs and with irritation she says, "You are always so honest, Darx. That's why you don't realize what's between Kase and Amelia."

"What do you mean?"

"See! You don't see them, but when we are training, they are flirting together all the time. Kase gropes Amelia all day, and she doesn't mind. Even this afternoon, when we were all together, you really didn't realize how they looked at each other!? and how nervous Amelia gets."

What is she saying? There is no way that is true. Amelia has been weird around Kase, but I'm sure it's for another reason, right...!?

"You already know, right !? Amelia has been spending time with Kase at his house. You think they're just studying. You know Kase, he wouldn't take a woman to his house just to read a book."

Mia must be wrong. But that time I saw Amelia leaving his house, she was behaving weirdly. What am I thinking? It is impossible.
