Chapter 7

With formalities out of the way, can Bedevalus get his duel?
First, he has to follow the captain.
Captain Astara walked at a brisk place, with her office in mind as the destination. "Well, the guest seems friendly enough... I'm half-inclined to just let him have his silly duel. I'd honestly like to see how a man with a sword is hoping to fight the pinnacle of our technology... Still, I've got a job to do. I guess I don't have to be so stiff around him, though."
That thought was all Astara needed to begin unzipping her pilot suit. She watched his eyes drift politely away as her sizable chest bounced out of it once her shoulders were loose, thinking he was surprisingly timid. "Kind of a cute response... I wasn't expecting a guy like him to be so shy around a woman's body." The captain cleared her mind and her throat, then finished stepping out of the suit. "My apologies, Bedevalus, I was simply making myself a bit more comfortable. I'd hate for you to think all humans were stuffy diplomats who stood on ceremony."
"Ah, you really don't need to... make yourself that comfortable... on my account." Bedevalus attempted to say that as casually as possible, but it was difficult when the woman who he'd been introduced to as the most powerful officer aboard the humongous warship had just stripped down to a sweat-stained grey tank top and what looked like some excitingly form-fitting space age yoga pants.
"Well, it's my ship, Bedevalus. I'll do as I like." Astara gave him a wink, then turned, leaving her pilot suit on the floor and continuing to walk with her arms crossed behind her back. "It'd please me if you made yourself as comfortable as possible during your stay here."
"Plenty comfortable, thanks."
"Suit yourself... Ah, right, I meant to ask you. My ensign you met before, Haruka Goshin, didn't respond to my attempts to hail her. What were the two of you doing on the way up here?"
"Oh, nothing. I shared a story of my glory in battle and she seemed, um... A bit distracted by it. My apologies."
Rebecca giggled to herself. "Hee hee! Oh, that Haruka actually tends to be pretty focused when she locks onto a target, if you catch my drift."
"Catch what? I'm not sure-"
"I mean she's kind of a 'loose screw,'" the captain told him, giving him a conspiratorial smile. "She's a certain kind of machine, if you get my meaning."
"I'm not at all sure I do," Bedevalus confessed. "You know, what we just passed, I would swear it looked just like a conference room, with one of those round tables suited for such discussions as ours-"
"I mean she's a butt slut!" Rebecca finally came out and told him. "I'm saying if she finds a guy as handsome as you, Bedevalus, she'll be all over you. I bet the duel is just an excuse for her to jump your bones, hahaha!"
By now, having passed the professional part of the ship, they were beginning to move into crew quarters. The knight noticed with some distaste that they were stepping over discarded garments, most of which looked about as respectable as the skinny straps of the undergarment Bedevalus was now noticing peeking over the rim of his host's tight pants. "Rebecca, you say you... regularly entertain company in these quarters? Foreign diplomats, heads of state?"
"Yeah, and just about anyone else I can! Oops, don't worry, forget about that. You're totally special, Sir Bedevalus," the captain teased, bending down to pick up a mysteriously stained pair of lacy, dark purple panties off the floor. "Say, whose do you think these are? Mine or Haruka's?"
The knight cleared his throat. This whole thing was now way far off from his tastes, but he was still holding out hope of being granted his duel... Even if it was now clear he wasn't dealing with women of character, it was at least true that one of them was capable of piloting a powerful robot. "My implication from before was that the disorder of this hall seems hardly fit to greet an honored guest."
"Oh, I'm sorry, Daddy!" The captain laughed again, rolling her eyes. "It's just Haruka and me on the ship, what do you want from me? There's more important things to do late at night than clean up, you know? Anyway, these are hers. I haven't got quite the heavy-duty chassis that android's modeled with, you know, but I'm not bad, right?" Rebecca put on a sexy pout, placing one hand on her hip and turning from him to show off her cute, round ass. "Androids are nice, but humans shouldn't be underestimated when the chips are down!"
"Setting the matter of your behind aside for the moment, do you think we might go ahead and get to the discussion?"
"Why are you so sure you know what I want from you, Bedevalus...?" Captain Astara lowered her eyes with a coy smile, placing a hand to her chin. "Am I that easy?"
... Bedevalus had really been hoping he could goad her into having a discussion after all, but now that it had come to this, he was determined just to get it out of the way. "Very well, if we must. But as soon as we've done it just once, I am going to fight that 'robot,' Rebecca."
The captain laughed at him again, although her eyes were smiling, and her hot face seemed to say she appreciated he had gotten the hint. "What, you thought you'd just drop those little shorts of yours and we'd do it here? Keep it in your pants for just a moment, good knight! We're almost there..."
Where has Rebecca been leading Bedevalus?
