Lexi

It wasn't too long before Daria heard the sound of running hooves. There was some muffled talking form the other room and then Lexi entered the ward. Daria smiled at her arrival, but this quickly faded as she realised that Lexi wasn't slowing down. She barrelled into her, knocking the wind out of her and embracing her.

'Oooof! Lexi.. Lexi… Ribs… Please…' Daria wheezed. Lexi withdrew grinning broadly. Now able to properly speak Daria continued, 'So I guess you missed me, huh?' She paused and looked at her sister with surprise as she realised tears where now forming in her eyes. 'Hey,' She reached out to her, once again pulling her into a hug, 'What's wrong? I'm fine don't worry.'

Lexi pressed her wet face into her sisters shoulder, before taking a shuddering breath and gathering herself. 'I'm sorry, I just… I was worried… and then I couldn't stay… and the Bucks. Oh gawd, I told 'em to go easy on you, I should'a come find you…' She clutched Daria closer, 'I just don't want you hurt that's all.' She sniffled.

Daria was somewhat perplexed, she was close with her sister, but she'd never seen her like this, 'I told you,' she patted Lexi's head, 'I'm fine.'

Lexi was pulling herself together now, she had suppressed the rest of the tears and her breathing had normalized. Her blue eyes were still slightly reddened, but it wasn't too noticeable. 'Ugh, sorry, I'm a wreck right now,' she wiped her eyes, 'Anways, I gotchya some fresh clothes,' she pulled a spare uniform out of her bag, it was similar to her old uniform, although Daria noted the skirt was a little longer and the blazer was a lighter shade of blue.

Daria smiled, 'Thanks, I assume the Doctor told you what's up with me then?'

'Yeah, she told me… Has she let ya know about exemption yet?'

Daria looked puzzled, 'Exemption?'

Lexi giggled softly, 'Really sis? All that reading of the rules and ya didn't pick up on the exemption, y'know the opt out clause? Stops you being used? Yeah, well the Doc says you should do that. You still gotta sign off on it but she said it was probably for the best, get the Bucks of your back as well.' Her face darkened having mentioned the Bucks again.

Daria frowned, 'Huh guess I must've missed that,' she paused for a moment thinking, and then smiled, 'Would be very different though. Its been… enjoyable. I think that's probably the right word for it.' She frowned again, 'Why did she think I should?'

Lexi rolled her eyes, 'Didya' not listen to anything the Doc said? You have, like, hyper sensitivity to hormones or something, basically... you get high off sex.'

Daria blushed, 'Oh, I see… Still, I think I'll stick with it. Shame I'll still have to worry about the Bucks though-'

'A shame!' Lexi cut her sister off, 'Look how you ended up! It's a bit more than a shame!'

'Hey! Cool it,' Daria attempted to calm her sister down, 'I mean everyone else has been so nice about it, even when I've been a bit shy. Besides I still enjoyed...' She tailed off...

Daria had seen who was now talking to the Doctor's time. She sank into the bed, the covers coming up to her neck which was slowly turning red.
