A tour of Menagerie

Kuo Kuana, the de facto capital of Menagerie, is one of the few habitable regions on the fish shaped continent of Menagerie. Homes, shops and stands seemed to be piled on top of each other with no real sense of organization. It is a free-for-all scramble for space in a densely populated island. Yet, the people seem happy with it. Better to be cramped with your friends than your enemies. The dress sense also appears to be very... ‘relaxed’ let's say. It is excusable given the hot climate but Weiss has never really seen people so comfortable wearing so little.

Slim, fat, young and old alike are showing skin in the most unfamiliar ways. Weiss cannot withhold giggling with Blake, shell-shocked at sight of many moons brazenly shown in broad daylight. They take a leisurely walk through Kuo Kuana to introduce Weiss to the locals. Though not all the looks are inviting, Weiss is amazed at how friendly the Faunus are to her.

Kali takes Weiss clothes shopping to find something more suitable for her slim physique. The midday sun is almost unbearable for Weiss to handle. Weiss considered Vale a hot kingdom (at least when compared to Atlas) but Menagerie is a completely different level. There are several stops at drink stands along the way.

The first pieces of clothing she picks out are a sombrero, some summer dresses and sandals. While selecting sunglasses, Kali prompts Weiss to try out swimsuits. Her plan is to take Weiss swimming later to cool off. Kali's taste in clothing mirrors the ‘relaxed’ attitude of the locals- she pulls out a white string bikini and tells Weiss to try it on. Weiss thinks she must be joking at first but Kali insists that she would look great in it.

Blake jumps in to say "I think it is best that I find something for Weiss!” then pulls her aside to find a pair of swim shorts.

"Thanks for the save. I really didn't want to tell her about my package..." Weiss says nervously.

"It's best that she doesn't know. My mom gets a little carried away when she meets new people..." Blake responds ominously.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Weiss replies, attempting to crack a smile out of Blake.

"Nothing... Just don't tell her that you are a futa, got it?" Blake reinforces.

Weiss nods as Blake picks out some blue swim shorts for Weiss and a matching purple pair for herself. She takes Weiss by the hand to changing rooms in order to try them on with some swim tops. They take pictures while posing in front of a mirror. It's the first time in a long time Weiss has felt genuinely happy.

Kali walks into the changing room just as Weiss prepares to take a photo of Blake in a rather provocative position. They both jump in fright.

"We were just taking photos!" Weiss explains rapidly.

"Right..." Kali answers coolly with a small naughty smile on her face.

Blake and Weiss leave the changing room full of embarrassment straight after Kali enters one of the stalls. They make their purchases and put on their swimwear underneath their clothes. Their next destination is a beach bar near the shallow sea.

While the boys order some more drinks and food, Kali finds a table with Blake and Weiss. Kali silently gazes at Blake then raises the topic of what kind of pictures she likes sharing with her friends. Blake immediately tries to change the topic as Weiss avoids eye contact with Kali.

As Weiss glances around, it comes to her attention that there seem to be a lot of couples walking around. The abundance of apparently same sex couples on the beach baffles her. Atlas' culture remains socially conservative when it comes to relationships, thus you can understand her confusion at the sight of openly gay couples.

Her eyes become glued to two cat Faunus girls holding each other closely in the sea before locking lips. The sight makes Weiss' eyeballs shoot from their sockets.

"Are they kissing each other?!" Weiss abruptly exclaims.

"Is there a problem with that?" Kali asks once she glances over at the couple snogging in the shallow sea.

"No! It's just... I have never seen girls kissing each other in public! Is that normal here? Being gay is something people from Atlas try to keep in the closet," Weiss answers while trying to calm herself down.

"Here we let it all hang out! There ain't nothing to hide in Menagerie!" Kali responds proudly.

"Faunus tend to think of relationships differently from humans. We don't care so much about gay vs straight," Blake interjects.

"Are there many futa/futa couples around too? Or futa/female couples?" Weiss asks.

"Why wouldn't there be? Chicks with dicks are twice as fun!" Kali jokes.

"Mom!" Blake shouts as Weiss covers her laughing face.

"By the way, if you two want to bang I won't stop you," Kali comments. Weiss and Blake's jaw drops at Kali's suggestion. They look at each briefly then back to Kali.

“If I had a dick, I would have piped down your friend. You inherited futa genes from somewhere so I say use it!" Kali adds before Blake can respond.

"Mom, it is not like that!" Blake declares angrily.

"Not yet... oh lunch!" Kali jabs as she turns attention towards Ghira and Sun's collection of drinks followed trays of a barbequed buffet.

Blake snatches a drink and takes a long sip, ending their conversation. Weiss more bashfully takes her drink as Kali gives her a wink of approval. Weiss never thought of getting frisky with Blake. Kali on the other hand had given Weiss a few ideas...

Before swimming, Weiss gets one last surprise. As soon as Ghira finds some beach chairs, Kali slips out of her clothes into the same white string bikini that she told Weiss to buy earlier. She steals the attention of Weiss and Sun, leaving them utterly speechless. Kali carries every curve with the confidence of a supermodel while Blake burns with envy. Blake always felt outclassed by her mother. People drew to her more easily, making Blake feel like she was in competition with Kali for attention- even with her own father.

Kali invites Blake to help rub sunscreen on Weiss. This was intended to make Weiss hot under the collar for her daughter. Weiss instead finds herself more aroused by Kali’s touch. Weiss runs into the sea quickly and dives in once they are done scrubbing her down. Her hard-on would have been impossible to hide for much longer. She shivers with excitement even in the chilling water. Blake soon joins her.

Even in the sea, Weiss’ focus waivers between Blake and watching Kali playing volleyball with Sun against a young couple. This irritates Blake to the point she storms off back to beach chairs. Left alone, Weiss feels guilty that she can’t shake the heat she has for Kali. The journey back home is less jolly than the adventure out after Blake's temper tantrum.
