Becky and Fuu sleep

The warmth of another body was appreciated, the cold was bitter. They both appreciated the time to sleep, as a brief escape from the weight of the emerging task. Becky did not sleep still, a constant tossing as she faded between sleep and wakefulness. The darkness was back. In her mind it seeped into every thought and dream. When she was awake, the night was dark and there was no light in the tent. It reminded her of feeling endlessly lost in the caves.

Fuu moved her arm over and lay it on Becky. She had something now to concentrate on. No matter how dark it was Becky couldn't feel alone. She had physical proof that she wasn't alone. Fuu's arm was warm, and attached to someone. Becky couldn't sleep well, but she could stop moving, and she could sleep, even if it was troubled.
