Becky Bolts back

She did not waste time, once out of the crack in the wall. Back at the crossroads, she could see the faintest of lights from burning torches and was grateful for it, she did not need to think twice, she could perfectly remember the way back. She sprinted until her insides felt like they were on fire, she had never felt so focused on freedom in all of her life.

She rushed past an idling gnoll, he rolled over and started after her, but by the time he had realized what had happened she had too much distance, and he returned to licking his balls. Becky ran through the winding cave system; it was winding, but at least it was linear. She kept running through the tunnels until she saw the blinding light, and emerged with tears streaming down her face. She let out a scream in the daylight, and as her eyes adjusted squinted and then opened them fully. It was hardly daylight, now it was getting dark and the sun was orange on the horizon, and she appreciated it's beauty. She finally felt her legs slowing, and they began to ache. She looked, to the brown blur to her side. The sentry gnoll had pursued her, and was not slowing down as she had. She felt the fear that she was going to be dragged back into the cave. She stumbled.

A crack blew past her ears, and twisting as she fell, Becky saw another gnoll. Her heart fluttered, and then the gnoll fell. She recognized the hole in his chest. It had come from Liv's rifle. Becky did not fall to the ground She was caught, and felt warmth, and cloth. She moved her hands and felt skin, human skin. In front of her Fuu was now bearing her full weight, to her right the gnoll that had nearly had her was smoking.

Finally, she could breath easy. She nestled her head in Fuu's breast and enjoyed the outside. When she got back up onto her own two feet, the Bravos marched silently back to their campsite, half a mile away.
