Mah lady!
"I said...mah lady...?" The Orc said as she rode up from practically out of nowhere to greet Zara. She looked confused. The Orc was obviously a knight; she was adorned in plate with a burned black kite shield on one arm and a wicked curved sword dangling at the other hip. Her mount, a huge horse, was black but also almost purple in color like the depths of the night. A few odds and ends hung from her saddle kit, including a bow. "Are you okay? These woods aren't safe to be wandering about in the buff. Fates, they're not safe for me! Let alone someone as pretty and naked as yourself. What are you doing here?"
" Oh... to be perfectly honest I have no idea how I came about being here, let alone where my clothing went.” Zara continued. “In addition to that, where are we exactly? I’m... unfamiliar with this place.”
"Who are you, mah lady?" The Orc replied.
“I’m Zara Van Amstel. And whom might you be? I don’t seem to notice any sort of heraldry upon your shield."
Zara looked around to see if there was anyone else nearby.
"I'm Veeshko the Lucky." The Orc replied. "I have no heraldry. I had other reasons for coming here than some oath to a liege lord. As to where... This is the Lost Woods, or Haunted Forest. Whatever name one deems most appropriate."
“A pleasure Lady Veeshko,” she said with a small curtsy. “And lovely. A Haunted Forest.”
"I'm no lady. I'm a knight." Veeshko replied. There's a brief hint of irritation in her voice. "Where are you going, Lady Zara?"
“Well, I suppose anywhere that’s warm and dry at the moment. I don’t suppose it would be too much of an imposition to go with you?”
Veeshko smiled. There was a hint of deviousness. Only a hint. Otherwise it seemed like a genuine smile.
"Of course not, mah lady. Climb on."
She gave the saddle behind her a pat.
Zara climbed up behind her.
As they rode on, a glimmering light was viewed in the bushes. It appeared to be a magical book...
