Wait her out

I decided to wait her out. The more evidence I could had the better. For the next couple of mins I watched as The Queen looked through the files on her desk. Eventually she put the file she was reading down. I thought she was going to get up and leave but instead she spoke. "How long are you going to wait up there sweet heart?" My blood ran cold.....she knew I was there. I didn't make a sound. She had to be bluffing. I was so careful!!! How could she know I was there. She leaned forward on her desk. She had a amused look on her face. "If you don't come in here right now, I'll direct my mens attention to the lovely red head on top of my office."

I didn't have a choice. She had me. Sighing, I opened the skylight and dropped into the office, landing directly in front of The Queen. She removed her glasses, revealing the most beautiful set of crystal blue eyes I had ever seen. She looked me over with her eyes, raising an approving eyebrow. "Nice of you to drop in Amethyst." She said with a smile. I glared at her "How did you know I was there." She pulled out her compact and looked herself over. "You can spot with such a tiny mirror." She was sharp, no doubt about that. "So here is what is going to happen, Queen. I'm going to pull out some zipties, I'm going to bind your hands. You are going to tell your men to stand down and we are going to walk out and go straight to the police where you will confess to all your crimes." She still had that smug look on her face. "And if I refuse?" I crossed my arms, trying to look tough. "Then I'm gonna kick you a**. What do you think?"

She started laughing. "You are adorable you know that?" She started gesturing to the jewel on her choker. It was a pure sapphire by the look of it. It was pretty......very.....pretty.....suddenly....I felt really tried. The Queen stood up from her seat and walked around the desk. She stood right in front of me. Towering over me. For some reason, I was still looking directly at the sapphire. "Is something wrong Amethyst." I heard her say. There was something different about her voice....it almost sounded like it was in my head. "Yes....tired....very tired." Why did I say that, what was wrong with me? The Queen smiled. "Why don't you sit on the couch." I did just that. The Queen moved so that the Sapphire remained within my line of sight. I still couldn't take my eyes off of it.

The Queen was standing above me, looking down on me. "I see you can't take your eyes off my gem. That's good. But I will need you to be able to see it. So when I snap my fingers, you are going to remain as you are and do everything I say. On the outside, you will follow my direction without direction but in your head, your thoughts will still be your own." She then dramatically raise her hand. She didn't think that was going to work did she? She then snaped her fingers. Suddenly I felt as though I had no control over my body.
