Does anything happen on the way to Southmarch?
Some Quiet Time
The caravan set out for Southmarch with the heroes falling into the ranks as it departed. They moved together, toward the village, each hero being made-over by some victim or another who appreciated the rescue, being saved from a most heinous fate at the hands of the Goblins.
They did not travel far before encountering Neesa walking along the road.
"A lift?". A grizzled old crone barked from. The reins of a wagon. "Ay, weren't you one who saved us? A lift!"
She patted the seat next to her.
Fenwa wouldn't shut up. Dawn fou d herself bombarded with trivial banter that came flowing from the girls mouth like a river. Most of it was simple. Grew up in Southmarch, couldn't wait to see her family but nervous to be home, no idea how long she'd been away, she was a Bard, played literally all the instruments, did Dawn like puppies?, where were they?, how long u til they got there, oh my Goddess if you only knew how happy I am to be free! It never ended. The girl meant well, and had obviously been deprived of positive attention and anyrhing resembling affection in even the remotest sense.
Kal suffered a similar fate, though his girls did finally shut up when the Dwarf was on one side, the Orc on the other, making an attempt arresting their heads on his shoulders where they both proclaimed they felt safe.
