Not so fast!

When Skyler stepped outside, the bright light **** his eyes to almost completely close. However, shortly after his senses were overwhelmed, forcing him to sneeze loudly. He sneezed not once, but twice before his eyes were able to open. Although not a serious condition, he was listed as a sun sneezer or someone with ACHOO syndrome in recent years. He found the acronym to be quite silly, but he wasn't the one who named it. To be fair, he would have voted for it if given the option.

Upon being able to see once again, Skyler saw his parents vehicles parked in the driveway. To his left was his mother's black, Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. On his right was his father's white, Toyota Prius. Both vehicles had their ups and downs, but what was more important to him was the superior seating within the Sonata. Although its fuel efficiency was roughly a third of the Prius's, the pain its seats caused his spine was simply too much to make it worth it. He walked over to the Sonata and soon entered the car, but upon entering the hot car, Cleo hopped onto his lap.

Skyler chuckled. "Hmm, looks like someone snuck out of the house with me. Well, it's too hot for you, pretty kitty. But I won't stop you from going on a car ride." He gently scratched the top of Cleo's head. However, before he could close the door, she hopped back out of the car. He shook his head with a smile, buckling himself in while starting up the car. He checked his surroundings and backed out of the driveway before driving off toward Wendy's. Nothing happened on his way there or while ordering, but on his way back was a different story.

Skyler took a shortcut back to his home, but while traveling through a back road, a notification appeared.

Skyler pulled off to the side of the road and noticed a new yellow exclamation flashing. He mentally clicked it, allowing it to pop up.

After Skyler read that, he thought. 'How am I suppose to **** three slimes? That doesn't make any sense. Does it mean to enslave them?' He shook his head before reading the quest again. Several times later, he realized he had misread the word, "slay". With that cleared up, he mentally hit, 'Accept.' and began looking around for someone, anyone being chased. At that moment, a dot appeared on his mini-map showing the location of the man in question. Hmm, apparently it was behind him. He turned off the car and stepped outside and heard the screams of a man running away from a rather small light blue slime. He used Observe on the creature then the man.

Skyler could hear Timothy yelling. "Oh god! It's after me. Someone, anyone! Please, help me!" Skyler barely had a moment to read that information before he started to run in the direction of Timothy. "This way man!" Timothy turned toward him, running quickly with a panicked expression upon his face. Skyler didn't have a chance to really look at Timothy as he tried to remember the name of his new skill. As the slime drew closer, he finally remembered it and thought, 'Cast Wind Strike'. - 50 Mp As the mana left his body, he could feel the dense air begin to swirl around his fists, the cool air swept through the hairs on the back of his hands.

Skyler stopped in his tracks to focus on his target as Timothy ran by him. The slime was sliding quickly in their direction. He thrust his right fist forward at the slime, sending an invisible line of air toward it. Upon making contact with the slime, it was sliced in two, but it resulted in zero damage. His eyes widened seeing that his attack had no effect on it. His began to think of why that would be when it occurred to him. This slime must have a core holding it together. By this time the slime leapt into the air, spreading out its body to try and devour him. It was at this moment a glimmer of light reflected off its core, drawing his attention.

Skyler knew he would only have one shot at this. Before he could think, his body moved on its own, thrusting his fist in the direction of the slime's core, sending out another invisible line of air. However, he also flinched, sending himself backwards and toward the ground. - 5 Hp To his surprise not only did it hit, but it critically hit. Resulting in the air slicing through the slime's body and its core, killing it instantly. 10 + 22 (Str) + 15 (Agi) = 47, 47 + 20% = 56 (56.4), 56 x 2 = 112 damage, (55 Overkill), 10 xp Sadly, this resulted in both of them being covered in its slime.

Timothy let out a sigh of relief while bending over to offer Skyler a hand. "Thank you for saving my life. I can't thank you enough" Skyler looked to Timothy's hand and took it, pulling himself up with Timothy's help. "Don't worry about it. Are you all right?" Timothy nodded before brushing himself off. Skyler started to pull the remains of the slime from himself, resulting in a red exclamation flash that he allowed to pop up.

Skyler smiled upon seeing that new skill, but refrained from using it at the moment. Although 5 Mp wasn't very much, he didn't exactly have much to spare, especially with two more slimes to kill. After both Skyler and Timothy cleaned themselves off. Timothy bowed his head to Skyler. "I don't have much to offer, but here. Take this." He pulled out a small brown worn pouch and handed it to Skyler. "This contains my family's heirloom, a black pearl ring. It's said that if you slip it on someone's ring finger, they will be yours for life. I don't know if the story is true or not, but take it with my thanks."

Skyler looked at the small pouch then back to Timothy. "Are you sure you don't need it?" Timothy shook his head. "I wouldn't be alive without you. I've lost my right to it." He turned to look back to the field. "I need to get back to work, but before I go. You should know there are two more of those creatures out there. Good luck and thanks again." With that, he walked off. Skyler scratched the back of his head before opening the pouch, releasing the contents into his other hand. Upon seeing the small black pearl ring, he used Observe on it.

Skyler tilted his head slightly and thought. 'Well, that's one way to get someone to like you. ' He opened his inventory to put the ring inside. Afterwards, he looked around and noticed something odd. Not only were the slime's remains gone, but something small and shiny had replaced it. He knelt down and picked up two dimes and a corked vial of blue gelatin. "Money? Hmm, great. This will suck if there isn't an auto loot feature." At that moment a notification appeared.

Skyler smiled and clicked. 'Yes.' Shortly after, the money and item he had picked up vanished from his hand. In return, he received a notification of what he had previously picked up. Vial of Slime, $.20 He lifted a brow and opened his inventory to check out that Vial of Slime.

Skyler blinked several times after reading that. He reread that several more times, resulting in his dick becoming hard from the thoughts of having a slime girl to fuck whenever he wanted. "Well, it's official. I am definitely a pervert. I haven't even gotten that close to a woman let alone fucked one. Although fucking a slime girl would be nice. At least I would know she wouldn't be disgusted by me, right?" He sighed softly as a wave of sadness washed over him as he thought about that.

Skyler could feel his body weaken and his ribs were starting to tighten, cramping yet again. He let out another sigh as his leg muscles began to quiver from the strain of bearing his own weight. He sat down, feeling it was unwise to continue standing and began to rest a moment. He wasn't about to have another attack, was he?
