Set up a future date

“It’s been fun, we should do something like this again sometime!” you tell Carly.

“Yeah, that sounds great!” Carly says, picking up her towel and using it to rub down her hair. “I really had a blast tonight! I didn’t realize how much I needed this!”

“I told you that you needed to loosen up a bit!” Lynn tells the brunette. She whirls her towel and snaps it at the ice cream server, getting a yelp and a frightened hop in response.

“Hey, back off my friend!” Abigail jumps in to defend her pal. She swings her twirled towel with a sharp snap at Lynn. The two are obvious veterans and towel whipping. They chase one another out of the pool area towards the girl’s change room. Carly chuckles and jogs to catch up.

“Hey Carly,” you call out to her. She stops and turns. “Maybe we could do something just you and me.”

She smiles and nods, “I’d like that.” Then she turns back towards the others and heads off.

You change back into your street clothes and rub the moisture out of your hair with your towel. You give the towel a sniff and reel back at the heavy chlorine smell it gives off. You’ll have to take a shower as soon as you get home. You figure the girls would probably take advantage of the showers, so you’ll have to wait for them to finish that up before they change and come out.

This may be a while, so you decide to head over to the change room and wait for them there. You sit in the hall, waiting patiently for them to finish, but minutes pass by and nothing happens.

You check the clock in the hallway. In the dim lighting, you can barely make out the time. It’s been half an hour since they left to change. Could they have gone off without you? You head out to the parking lot, but Lynn’s car is still there. Did they wander off somewhere? You check the change room door. It’s still unlocked.
