Talking to Walker

About an hour after agent Walker's husband had been arrested, you call her from on top a building downtown during your nightly patrol of the streets.

"Nice job with the cameras," she says when she picks up, knowing it was you already.

"Good timing by your friend. Caught him with his dick hanging out." Agent Walker starts giggling girlishly on the other line, the first time you've heard her not being serious. When she finally gets her amusement under control, you decide to cut to the chase. "So, are we partners now?"

There's a long pause on the other end and for a moment you think maybe the call dropped until agent Walker responds. "...not yet."

"What?! I did what you ask!" you say.

"I know. And I appreciate it, I really do. But... if we're going to do this, I need to be able to trust you."

"...what do you mean?" you ask.

"Let's meet. Face to face."

"You want to know my secret identity."

"Yes."

"How do I know this is not a trap? That you're not just going to arrest me?"

"I won't. This is what we agreed to. Plus, you know what I did to get Jack arrested. If you told anyone about that, I would never get to see my son again."

You pause to consider agent Walker's words. You really want an insider at the FBI to be your ally, but exposing your identity to Walker would be a huge risk.
