Chapter 9

Now that the ship is done for, what does Haruka want to talk about?
It's time to surrender.
"Captain," Haruka spoke brusquely as she grabbed Rebecca's arm, dragging the other woman across the bridge as if convinced she'd run off and destroy something else if she let her loose. "You need to issue your surrender to the enemy."
"What? Why would I surrender to that cocky alien moron?!" Rebecca complained, even as the halls of her ship fell apart around her. "She can't even hurt us!"
"You can't think like that. You have to end this. This is no longer about pride, or the Squadron's investment. If this continues, your life is in danger. Go out on the deck and beg for the enemy's mercy."
"That dishonorable witch attacked me while I was still engaging in dialogue! She won't listen!" Unable to resist the mechanical strength of her ally, Rebecca helplessly tried to dig her boots in, finding no purchase on the metallic floors of her ship. It was as if the disgraced Figurehead V was demanding she apologize, as well.
In no time at all, Haruka had brought Rebecca to the deck access door, which swung dangerously on its hinges. Impatiently, the android finished knocking it off, sending it flying across the bridge's exterior deck with a shower of sparks. "Get out there and do your job, Captain! I'll secure the escape craft and find some way to get it out with the hangar door busted." Not waiting for a response, Haruka pushed the distressed captain out of the door and into the wind, then disappeared into the dangerous corridors.
Rebecca instantly missed the relative safety of her exploding corridors as she clung to the deck for dear life, feeling the ship exploding around her. "Aaaaaaah! Oooh crap! Haruka, please, help! S-somebody heeelp!!"
Someone heard her, but it didn't seem to be anyone with an intention of helping. The Meka-Stinger floated into the airspace just above its screaming opponent. "Hohohoho! I see you intend to go down with your ship, is that it?"
"No! No no, idiot, I'm waving the white flag! Do you understand? The white flag!!"
"The white flag...? Ah, I see. I understand. I underestimated you."
"E-even I know the right move in a situation like this," Rebecca spoke with a sigh. It was humiliating, but it was finally over. Perhaps she'd at least retain a bit of respect in knowing when to call it quits-
Before she could think any further on that, she found herself being lifted into the air by the double antennae of the Meka-Stinger. She wrapped her arms around them for dear life, her legs kicking helplessly as the wind buffeted her. She saw the hatch of the insectoid craft open, revealing her hated foe.
With the wind whipping her blue hair all around, Mekanee shouted to be heard. "If you're still defending your banner, be it white or whatever other color, I'm still game for more! Defend your honor!"
Rebecca's eyes went wide as she saw the demon produce a dinky-looking plastic thing that was, nonetheless, clearly identifiable as a gun. "N-no, hold on! I'm- aaaaah!!" the captain shouted as she felt the ray hit her, unable to believe this was how her life was going to end after all of her adventures through space...
... Slowly, she opened her eyes, realizing the gun had simply torn a hole straight through her spacesuit and underclothes, right at her heart. Her body wasn't damaged, but the location of her heart just happened to coincide with the location of her well-developed chest, and the pink of her nipple was now exposed to the elements. "What the hell?! I said I'm waving the white flag!"
"And I said the color doesn't matter to me! Now, say it!!" Mekanee fired off a volley of shots, continuing to reduce Rebecca's spacesuit to shreds.
"Aah aaaah aaaaaah! Th-this suit has sentimental value, you monster! Eeeek! How can you do this to a surrendering opponent?!"
"... Surrendering?" With a curious but cautious expression, Mekanee finally lowered her gun, raising an eyebrow at her now-bare captive.
"Yes, moron, surrendering! Waving the white flag is surrendering!"
"Ah... ha... hohohoho!!" the demon laughed, cupping a hand to the side of her mouth and laughing off her mistake. "So, then, you'll finally say it? You'll finally admit I'm the better pilot, after all this time? That's all I've really wanted."
"Are you kiddi- You never said- Ah, dammit, sure! Yes, sure, whatever! You're the finest pilot in the quadrant!" Rebecca yelled with a red face, tears welling in the corner of her eyes. "N-now save Haruka and me!"
"Aha! You said it! No take-backsies!" Mekanee squealed in delight. Rebecca couldn't tell why, but the other woman was hastily strapping on a parachute she had in an overhead compartment. "Foolish captain! My fuel reserves are almost empty, but I did it! I'm the winner! If you'd only held on a few more seconds, you could have won!! To think, I could win with a bluff like that..."
"So... you're saying... your ship is about to...?" the captain gasped in horror, her eyes widening.
"Yes, and I'm afraid I only have the one parachute. Um... best of luck! Until we meet again!" Mekanee gave a smart salute before pressing the button for her ejector seat, which would catapult her to safety...
Instead, the Meka-Stinger immediately detonated from faulty wiring, sending the victorious demon spinning through the air uncontrollably towards the ocean below.
That left the Captain alone, and in a dangerous spot, as gravity finally got its hands on her. Her shapely breasts and enchanting hair now flapped unrestrained as her lips pulled back from her face from the velocity, her otherwise naked body protected only by a pair of modest white panties as the rest of her tattered uniform fell to shreds. "FV! Haruka! Sooomebooodyyyyy!!!"
Who can save the captain?
