Best Friend.

Matt's mood was really dour. As he moved up the main staircase of Sarah's mansion, his legs felt heavy and sluggish, weighted down by his dark thoughts. The seeds of distrust that frankly have always been there, nurtured by Tom's words, begun taking roots in his troubled mind, corrupting his soul.

The relation he had with his best friend John, always had a hidden undertone of jealousy, and secret spite. Whatever the two of them did, he was always better at it, as Matt just tried his best to keep up with him. Whenever they went out together, he was always the cooler one, and Matt was a nerd that just tagged along. Whenever there was any girl Matt liked, he was always the one to have hers attention, making Matt a goofy sidekick that wasn't taken seriously.

And there was Nicole - whom Matt had secretly been in love with through their entire childhood, that only had her eyes for John, never taking Matt seriously ... She treated him like her younger brother that needs protection, but was dead cold to his feelings, always talking about John when he wasn't around...

One day Matt was alone with Nicole as the two of them waited for John to join them after his baseball practice, and Matt mustered his courage to confess his feelings to Nicole. He regretted it immediately and still does to this day, remembering the shame when Nicole not only turned him down cold, but also burst at him with anger and tears - telling him how could he be so insensitive asking her out, when he knew all to well how she felt about John.

Matt fists clenched with that long withheld painfully memory resurfacing once more.

Of course he knew. John was everything she ever talked about. Only in John's presence her face flared up like that, glistening, her eyes sparkling in the sun. Only with John around, her silly obnoxious jokes, were getting even more unbearable, and her mischiefs ridiculous. He knew all that very well, but he still hoped, that since John was totally blind of Nicole, she could settle for something less than her idol - something like him ...

And that thing was the worst about John - He didn't even realize how lucky he was.

Only ever talking how unhappy he was, unable to get the girl of his dreams, as he was pilling up after Miranda - the most sought out girl in their High School, not noticing that many amazing girls like Nicole - were crushing after him, left and right...

That Moron had everything Matt could ever dream to have, but he squandered it all, chasing after aloof Miss Perfect, that sure was beautiful and all, but wasn't even nearly as warm, as dedicated, as fun to be with, as the girl that was already head-over-heels in love with him from the start...

Observing how over the years, Nicole's love shining through her eyes was bouncing off John's clueless face, when Matt only dreamed about a second of that gaze on him - was biggest trauma Matt ever endured. One he thought he was over with, since an Angel appeared in his life, allowing him to move from his feelings for Nicole.

That Angel was now locked in her room alone, with a guy he called for as long as he could remember his "best friend" ...

Hi people

This is a slight experiment on my part. I started on writing another big chapter of this storyline, and I wrote just this opening fragment, setting up the story, when I thought that maybe it is not a bad idea, to try making these chapter smaller like this, although this is reaaaaaly small.

Honestly I think it doesn't really work well with my kind of writing, so I probably would not continue doing it, but for this little interlude - I think it apropriate.

It set's the stage for the drama that will be unfolding in this story, and maybe putting emphasis on it like that is good way to get people into it more rather than just looking at it as an excuse to see some sex scenes. Those are comming without a doubt, the story I write is **** full of them, but I believe good NTR and cheating stories, need a good emotional hooks and settup to truely make it delightfully painfull / kinky ;]

So I am curious what you guys and girls think about this settup. A underlaying dark undertone, with characters having scarred past, and trauma.

I hope it will turn to be a truely dramatic story where hidden dark side of characters will come to the surface spicing up things.
I allready gave some overall preview of it in my (Character description for sub-route) chapter. Be sure to check it out if you are interested. I give some hints there about characters motivations and past there. (too bad images stopped working).

But in short the whole drama of the entire group is focused on Miranda.

She herself is totaly innocent diligent and good natured girl, never harming anyone directly, yet becouse of her everyone else in the group suffers in one way or another. Only Tom beeing self conceited jerk he is and enjoying it is unaffected.

Matt secretly loved Nicole, who was crushing after John from the kindergarden, hurting Mat in the process, but John doesn't even realise any of that, compleatly blinded by his self-induced infatuation over Miranda.

Even Sarah is a victim of Miranda in this story, becoming a slut in her stead, even though she was simply a good-hearted girl that couln't stand to watch all the guys there breaking their hearts over Miranda. She willingly became a substitue for their desires, so than Miranda could remain pure...

Ok that's enough about revealing the underlaying drama for now.
I will be back to writing the actual action chapter right away.
