(Note from the author: So I did not expect this to take off as much as it has, but it has been great. Thank you very much to all of the people who have liked, favorite, and viewed the story it means a lot to me. I am going to continue writing and hopefully, the success will continue. It has more than 300,000 views and over 3000 likes I can't believe it. Thanks so much, I apologize that I was gone for a while but I will try to be more active with it posting more regularly as it goes on.)

(5/7/2023 I can't believe that this story has continued for over three years. In those three years, we have written over 180 chapters, over 8000 likes, over a thousand people have favorited the story and it has over 1.3 million views. Thank you very much, recently more people have been adding chapters to the story, and I encourage more people to do that as it gets so big that I cannot keep up with all of the branches.)

You are woken up by the light streaming in through your window early on this Saturday morning. At 18, you’re a recent high school graduate, relieved to finally be done with school. You’ve always been a bit of a nerd, never having too many friends, and you never quite fit in with the jocks or the rich kids at school. Although your father had pushed you to play sports, you much preferred streaming and playing video games.

You graduated just this past week from your boarding school and are now spending the summer at home with your parents before heading off to college in the fall. "Spending time with your parents" is a loose term, though. Both of them are extremely busy with their careers, leaving little time for family. In the week since you’ve been back, you’ve only seen them once—yesterday morning—before they left for a two-week business trip to Asia. Your dad, the COO of a large company, and your stepmother, a model, spend most of their time traveling. Their busy lives are the reason you attended a boarding school for most of your life.

This summer, you suspect you'll be spending most of your time at home with your two sisters. Your twin sister, who just finished her final year of high school, is vastly different from you. She’s one of the most popular girls in school—head cheerleader and a key member of the track and field team that won the state championship. She stands at about 5'2" with raven-black hair, a slim figure, and striking features that take after your stepmother. Boys have been drooling over her since she hit puberty, but despite your differences, the two of you have always gotten along, even if you didn’t often hang out at school.

Your older sister, who’s two years ahead of you, just completed her sophomore year of college. Like you, she’s also a bit of a nerd, but she’s every bit as stunning as your twin. Though petite like your younger sister, she has your father’s blonde hair instead of your stepmother’s dark locks.

Last night, some of your friends convinced you to go to a party, and you ended up drinking far too much. You don’t remember how the night ended or even how you made it back to your bed. Now, you have a pounding headache and just want to go back to sleep. As sunlight pours into your room, you glance at your clock and see that it’s nearly 10 a.m. Deciding it’s time to get up, you drag yourself out of bed and head to the bathroom.

As you rise, you feel something tickling your back—like hair—and you notice that you seem oddly more top-heavy than usual. Still groggy, you dismiss the thought and walk into the bathroom you share with your twin sister. You turn on the faucet and splash water on your face before looking into the mirror.

What you see makes you scream.
