Start of something new

"Hey Riya did you see the news...." Arya walks in on the two of you hugging. "What's... going on?"

"We were just talking about how we felt about each other and....here we are." you say.

"Oh that's wonderful! I'm so happy for you guys!" she then pulls you both and the trio of you share a hug. Although Arya was happy for you guys, a twinge of sadness passed through her heart. She knew she had lost you forever. She'd have to move on. It would be for the best if she did.

"So...as I was saying... the news...uhh...it's best if you guys come and see it."

The three of you head downstairs and Arya turns on the TV to a news station.

"...with heavy rains that will continue unabated for nearly a week. A citywide emergency has been declared due to the flooding and citizens are advised to stay wherever they are and find shelter at higher ground. The army has been called in to rescue stranded civilians and the government has opened helplines in case of any genuine medical emergencies. Citizens are advised to....*THWIP*" The TV has switched off because of a power outage and your house gets dark for a moment before the backup generators kick in.

You and Arya go around the house to turn of all non-essential appliances connected to the power points. Only the refrigerator remains on. That should stretch the generators capacity to 36 hours. It was a trick that was taught to you both by your dad when power cuts used to be frequent in your city. Although power cuts are now a thing of the past with all the development that's been going on, his lessons remain with you guys.

Your phone starts ringing. It's your mom. Riya's phone starts ringing too. You pick up your phone.

"Nick! Are you okay?! Where are you right now?"

"Calm down mom, I'm already home. Riya and Arya are here as well."

"Good, good. I was worried. Did you guys see the news? You have to stay indoors. We have food in the pantry cupboards, you know where to find them."

"Yes I do. What about you mom? Where are you?"

"I'm at your grandmother's place. It's close by the office and I was headed there anyway. It's going to be a long week. Do not panic and try to consume all the perishable items in the fridge before you move on to other stuff. Got it?"

"Yeah mom. I got it. You said Riya was with you guys right? Take care of her as well. Do not send her out there you hear me?"

"I get it mom! I'm not a kid anymore! Jeez, you worry too much."

"Just take care of yourselves okay? Also will you please give the phone to Arya, I want to talk to her."

"Sure." you hand over the phone to Arya who has been listening to your conversation. She heads off with the phone to your mom's room.

Riya has just finished talking on the phone and she comes towards you.

"You can stay here as long as you want. At least until we get through this. I insist. My mom would kill me if I let you go out there." you speak up first.

"Looks like we are stuck together, for a week, without internet, without TV." she says slowly and looks at you with what seems like equal parts desire and embarrassment.

Your cock twitches in excitement. "Umm...we could watch a movie. My laptop battery is gonna die anyway in a few hours. Might as well watch a movie. What do you say?"

"That sounds good Nick" You both leave to head upstairs when Arya comes out to see you leaving.

"Where are you guys going?" she asks.

"Oh we're gonna watch a movie! Come join us!" Riya says.

Arya thinks for a bit before she denies. She had quite a few assignments that she had to do. This was the perfect time to do them. "You go on ahead guys. Have fun!" She says and subtly winks at you.

Great. Even your sister expected you to have action. You had fantasized about it so many times and yet you did not know how you could proceed with your current situation. Guess you'll wing it along the way.
