You step through the open front doors to a wide room of tables, chairs, a small stage by the stairs, and a bar counter across from you.

A couple waitresses are serving food and beverages to the several patrons around the room. The staff are wearing bar maiden outfits you never expected to see outside of artwork online, and your dreams of course--the classic, like something out of Oktoberfest, with a frilly white top to accentuate their cleavage, and skirts that flow over their thighs as they step.

The one behind the counter is no exception. She looks to be in her late twenties, but has cat ears protruding up from her long, black hair. With nobody else up there right now, she looks to you the moment you start walking up.

"Well hello there, traveller," she says.

You peer around to try to spot a tail as well, and lo and behold, there it is, Coming out from atop her skirt's waist is a fluffy black tail.

This is surreal. To everyone else here, this is normal. What other races exist here?

"Uh. Sir?" she repeats.

"Sorry. I'm not from around here."

"Yes. I can definitely tell. But we welcome all sorts here at Party's Rest, as long as they don't cause trouble. Just relax, drink, eat, laugh with your friends, and you won't have to be thrown out. So what can I do for you today?"

She said that part about throwing me out so casually. I wonder if that happens a lot. "I'm really new around here. Can I ask some stupid questions?"

"I assure you that I've heard much stupider."

You chuckle nervously. "Well, what is this town called, for example?"

"This is the city of Avana, traveller. It's one of the largest cities in Empire of Tivera. Have you never read a map? I can't imagine anyone around this side of Abso could be that unaware."

"Abso?"

"Absoterra. The planet. Am I getting pranked?"

It sounds like she isn't going to stop making fun of my questions. "Actually, I'd like to buy one of those, uh... house muffins?" you say uncertainly as you place the coin down onto the counter top.

She looks at you suspiciously. "I thought you were new around here. Did a woman happen to ask you to do this? One wearing armour. Uses a mace and buckler shield."

Your face turns pale as you start to wonder what you've gotten yourself into. "Yes?"

"Not this again," she groans as she slaps her hand to her forehead. "We kicked her out a week ago and she keeps trying to find people to get her the food she always used to buy here, but she's nothing but trouble. I'm not feeding her addiction! She'll just keep lurking outside the door. Please go back out there and tell her what I said, so hopefully she stops harassing our customers."

Are you serious? That girl was kicked out?! I can't believe I'm being used, and I haven't even been in this city for an hour.

You pick the coin back up and look embarrassed. "Sorry. I didn't know. I'll go tell her right away."

"Please. She's going to scare away our business."
