This time she fell against the bushes and tried in vain to keep herself upright by grabbing the branches. Falling on her front, she had to take a few seconds to get her bearings. When she opened her eyes, she looked straight into the reflecting eyes of the cat sitting half under the bush and she said grumbling "Now look what you have done, stupid furball.". The cat looked back at her, then its hair went on edge and she started to hiss loudly. Siris said "whow! What the…" but then got pulled violently under the bushes by her legs into the garden. Then the alley was empty again.

Siris head was spinning. The trip across the ground and the high percentage of **** in her system were very counterproductive to her senses and she had a hard time to find what was up and what was down. That there was almost no light here didn't help either. Her leather clothing was stuffed with dirt, grass, leafs and sticks, her face was dirty and she was spitting out dirt and leafs. Siris murmured, but she could not see well above her, in part because of the darkness and her stupor. Siris tried to get up and got increasingly more nervous when she couldn't overpower what was holding her down.

Then she saw some red lights reflecting on the grass, making her halt her struggles and while her heart was racing she tried to figure out what was on top of her.
