When do we begin?

"That's so weird! I love it."

You knew you'd made the right choice. Kazumi's eyes lit up at the idea of building something so unique and bizarre, if it would take her away from her boring debug of whatever she had been working on when you came in. Her face contorted into confusion again though. "I, uh... but how? And why? This is not a quick-and-dirty project, creating a motorcycle out of a person is... I mean, I'm assuming she's hollow, but the form factor to get everything in place, that's..."

"Not an issue." Zoe strolled over to a chair, taking a seat. "My body has unique properties, why Emily can wear me without me looking any different is due to a feature I contain called a Compression Cage. I essentially use dimensions that extend beyond the three physical dimensions you're used to. You could probably fit a sizable amount of electronics within me and I would show no external difference. I've had nine humans wear me before and looked as I do now, so consider that the components of a motorcycle, or even a small car, could probably be easily contained in me. I'm not sure what the upper threshold is..."

You stepped over to Zoe as well, to keep the sales pitch alive. "Not just that, but she can interface with technology in some really interesting ways. She can adapt electronics into her body, like she was my phone earlier. She had a touchscreen stomach, Zumi!" Zoe giggled a little as she thought back to the fun she had behaving like your own personal mobile device. "You'd mentioned you have some sort of wireless power transfer tech you'd been working on, right? Imagine that Zoe had some batteries on the inside, her hands and feet could transfer power to those engines contained inside the wheels you'd drawn up. Except for handlebars, it seems like it's possible, right?"

Kazumi had a lightbulb moment go off, as she began to scribble on a notebook inside the workshop. "Okay, so if you're saying displacement isn't a problem internally, we could rig up a variety of wireless power transfer nodes, at... hands, feet, hips, back... that's so weird to say out loud. And there would still be fairings and guard-bars on the outside for protection, you'd need a seat and the handlebar array, but... I mean, this is doable, yeah. The wireless energy transfer, the closer the contacts are to touching, the better the energy transfer and the less chance there is of injury to the skin. If she's got extra dimensions to work with though? I mean, we could theoretically make the energy transfer at the contacts seem like they're virtually unseparated, for no power loss whatsoever!"

You and Zoe grinned at each other while Kazumi was getting into her technological groove. She pressed a button on one of the computers nearby to turn on some heavy techno music to work to, as you and Zoe provided input on her design for the internal and external components. Kazumi's artistry was on full display as she built a full modular motorcycle, which had containers for the outside electronics and engine-wheels to store them, allowing Zoe to carry all the mechanical components with her wherever she went. The internal structure could be locked into a rigid position, or the joints could become flexible, with some electronic control for either state. On the outside, the wheeled grips and footholds would easily allow Zoe to connect to them, and her 'riding suit' was a jumpsuit with a specialized component affixed to her shoulderblades, which contained both the handlebars and detachable 'angel wings', the fairings that could wrap around Zoe's body to protect her on the road and allow her to look like a proper motorcycle with all the necessary electronics. Kazumi designed them to easily unfurl, so Zoe could walk around when in standby.

"This is going to sound kind of strange, but Yabusa Motors has been designing up something similar, a sort of 'wearable motorcycle suit'. That's where I saw something like these 'wings' before, so they call it their Angel 800 project. But they were talking about having to surgically modify people to make them compatible with the tech, and who even knows how they'd handle the engine in that case, you can't just put an 800cc engine anywhere! ...well, I mean, in this case... look, anyway, it's not as unthinkable as one might expect. The Angel 800 and Seraph 1200 projects, from all the rumors I heard, are meant to be police and military vehicles built on a human frame, which makes it easier to transport more people to a location with a smaller profile. Taxi services might get in on something like this too, imagine if your driver didn't have to park anywhere! They just unfurl their wings, go about their business somewhere, someone needs a ride, they convert back into bike mode..."

You grinned, patting Kazumi's back as she finished up her sketches. She held it up so you and Zoe could admire the design of a vehicle that could quickly be stored in a living bodysuit when not in use. Zoe was going to become the envy of every motorcyclist out on the road.

"But." Kazumi turned to you, eyes twinkling with mischief. "I don't work for free, you know. Assuming this works, we can make a pitch to the higher-ups later, but I'd like to ask for an up-front favor from you two."
