Where do you go?
Low risk options have always been your style anyway
’No way I’m dragging Heather into this, and I can’t bring myself to face Carol yet. Tyler’s it is.’
Sitting in your car, you shoot Tyler a text asking if it’s cool if you spend the night. When he says it’s no problem, you let Carol know you won’t be home tonight, part of you expecting no response. You’re wrong, as she sends you a text saying ok, and telling you to be safe. Maybe she isn’t too upset.
You drive out to Tyler’s house, all the while trying to figure out what to do when you can’t stay with him any longer. While you lived in the suburbs, Tyler’s dad had a smallish apartment in the city, since his dad worked an office job nearby. You expected to be sleeping on the couch tonight since they only had the two bedrooms, not that you minded. It’s better than the alternative of waking up to Tanya falling from the sky onto your morning wood. Not that you didn’t derive some enjoyment from that experience, she felt great. But you’d rather not risk her getting any more pissed than she already was.
As you arrive you go to the elevator and text Tyler to let him know you’re on your way up. When he responds you learn that he isn’t actually home yet, and won’t be for about three hours. Apparently his part time job needed him to stay longer than anticipated.
‘No problem,’ you think to yourself. Tyler’s dad, Hugh, was a pretty cool guy, so you don’t mind just chilling with him a while.
You call the elevator, and when you enter you press floor 9. Arriving, you walk out and head to room 916. You knock, waiting for Hugh to answer the door. When the door does finally open though, it isn’t Hugh.
