Early next morning as Jonathon Brackett slept in his bed as the phone rang off the hook Ugh five thirty-seven who could be as he hazily seen the number of Diane Walkers residence…

Jon speaking… Jon, I hope Diane spoke back… no, I was on the verge of getting up wait Diane slow down what do you mean…

Knock, Knock as Jack opened the door morning Sheriff… you must be looking at Jack as his mind spoke how in the hell can I compete as Diane ran Jon thank heavens….

I came as soon as you called me what is the matter as Diane spoke I think someone is trying to poison my mother Jon… this meat as he smelt it I don’t smell anything off about it as Tammy smiled come with me Donna let them talk as Lola, Diane and Jack sat at the table…

Jon Brackett smiled to Jack, let me guess you must be Jack... good guess... and like her you carry it too as Jack smiled good observation and before you ask no I am not interested in Diane… she is a good-hearted woman who is helping me… how did you meet up… funny I was being chased in my wolf form by hunters and she gently struck me with her vehicle…. Donna, you are still under the effects and with the moon in the coming days as Donna nearly collapsed as Jack caught her… easy there dear you are still weak… as Diane spoke I want to get to the bottom of this as Lola said so do we Alpha… but there lies a problem… as Jack spoke what is that… the townsfolk knows what our vehicles look like as Jon spoke maybe I could help out but Lola I need you to trust me….

Who Lola spoke… my deputy, she is vaguely new to town… YOU MEAN MISS ANGER MANAGEMENT… look she is rough around the edges Lola she was a combat vet who lost her friends and teammates on deployment…. Meanwhile, at the police station, Janie’s phone rang… Sheriff's Office Deputy Williams speaking… Jon where are you… Over at the Walkers… you’re a sly dog… it isn’t like that Miss Walker uncovered something… like what… can’t say over the phone… ok boss are you sure… yes, but I also need a favor…. Name it… we need to borrow a car…

Janie smiled back I think I can cover it Boss but one condition… Name it… it was my father’s ride and please don’t get a scratch… see you soon Janie as Jon hanged up… Good, she will be here soon as Diane spoke please keep the meat packaged with ice and in the cooler closed Lola… On it she smiled as Jon spoke, are you ok when Diane spoke back I… Don’t know Jon I never thought about going back this soon… as Diane walked up the stairs to pack as Tammy smiled, I will talk to her son making Jon smile…

Diane cried is it too soon to go back… I don’t know if I am strong enough as Tammy spoke baby you are the strongest woman, I ever knew… I know I have forgiven Max and the other's mom I do but what if I can’t… you can my darling and with Donna and the moon weeks away from what if… hey… hey look at me you always say that your goddess leads the course of action right… yeah, she does mom… but what if… you are worried that you come back to no home, aren’t you… am I that easy to read… you may be a werewolf but you are also my daughter and I raised you to be a smart and brave woman as Tammy rubbed Diane’s shoulders easing her suffering baby it is time you forgave yourself you done all you could your friend wouldn’t want you to beat yourself up…

Meanwhile, as Janice home, as she walked in racing to her keyrings there you are grabbing a phoenix keyring and kissed them tenderly as she went to the garage and opened it up to see a tarp… usually, I don’t drive you but a friend of mine needs your speed pops don’t let me down as she pulled off the tarp to reveal a black 79 Cuda coupe….

Come on baby don’t let me down as she turned the key and the engine roared to life… YESSS as Janie pulled out of the drive and headed towards Diane Walker's residence…

Diane continued to pack as Donna spoke Miss… Please Diane Donna what is the matter… do you think I could trouble you in some extra clothing or go into town… Yes, but have Lola go with you just in case your body and senses make you weary… as Donna smiled, I never asked for this… I know dear listen I was like you once and almost regretted it… what changed Diane… I found faith in others who lived through what you are experiencing… I want my sister… I know you do but killing her isn’t the answer… she isn’t my sister any more I don’t even recognize her…

It wasn’t your fault Donna…. It was hers… she called herself the true Queen… a false prophet she isn’t a royal line my pack sister from Utah however is…. She is Donna spoke… how from what you explained… We wolves live a long time but we do die and when we do our wolf selves go to service her in the astral plane and when my Sister Sally Turner ascends, she will take the throne in Luna’s presence…. Diane heard a monstrous engine sound coming up the drive what the as she grabbed her carry-on bag as Jon spoke Diane Janie is here… I can tell love as Diane opened the door to see the Black Barracuda Coupe come to a stop…

Deputy… Please, Janie, she smiles… thank you for the reimbursements for the damages… it was the least I could have done as Lola grumpily said hi… she is still sore, isn’t she… well, you would be too her age dear come in…

Sheriff what the hell is going on… you already met Lola this is Jack Talbot he is one of Diane's friends from out of town… Nice to meet you, Jack… Likewise ma’am… well, Jack and Lola were cooking Miss Walker Dinner last night with her friend Donna who came to visit… alright, Janie spoke I don’t know what the covert ops are going on here… when all spoke we believe that someone or somebody is poisoning Tammy Walker to make her so ill or worse end up like her late husband… for what… as Diane spoke back my family land you see this mountain and forest around it is one hundred percent mine and I believe that someone wants us out of the picture…

So let me get this straight no living heir means… whoever this person is can come in and stake his or her claim to a land that has been in the Walkers clan since the days of the old west… but who would do something like that… that is the multi-million dollar question… we could get it tested here… as Jonathon spoke we thought about that and this being a small town… say no more… so where are you heading…. Janie, I am keeping the location a secret… but what if the town asks… tell them I went to a police conference or something…

Janie spoke NOT A SCRATCH… as Diane spoke trust me I used to be a surgeon as she packed her bag as Jon packed his in the trunk… what do we do with the… in the back trunk please that meat still makes me want to hurl as Jon spoke Janie thank you again as she smiled I expect hazard pay as Jon smiled take it up with your boss… I Am she replied…

How about this if It all goes well you get Hazard pay + gas as Janie spoke, we can work out the details as Lola said Diane be safe and return to us… I… I won’t be away for too long it isn’t forever dear…. As Tammy hugged her Daughter tightly, I will miss you dearly when they heard the secretary spoke Sheriff can you come in…. as Janie said go, I will handle Mona as Jon said his goodbye as both Jon and Diane climbed in the classic car and started up as they pulled from the drive….

This is Deputy Williams what seems to be the issue… is the sheriff there… no, he is out of town at a conference it was at the last minute he left me in charge Janie spoke back… Oh Ok, Mona spoke back we have an issue at Taylor’s Logging… seems like a worker fell and landed on a saw blade they are asking for police and emergency personal… on it as Janie smiled well I got to go as well as she climbed in Jon SUV and drove off…

Meanwhile, as Jon drove Diane looked over I.… I wanted to say thank you… for what Jon spoke… about the reasons Jack and Donna… hey it is ok Jon spoke… I trust you and from what I got from Jack he and her both are relieved that they are there safe from other human interactions…. So, Utah eh so what is there… my old home Diane smiled at ease as the town folks seen the 1979 Barracuda Coupe roar down the street not knowing who was in the driving seat as Jon Brackett and Diane Walker left Wyoming in the mid-day sunrise…
