Kara asks her questions and Kate gets surprised

Kara looked over at her clothes, trying desperately to resist the urge to take them and run. Instead she stood with her back to the technician, knowing full well that her bare ass was on display.

"So are there any theories on what these... 'objects' are?" Kara asked with the best reporter voice she could muster under the circumstances.

"Well, as Commander Moore said, the humanoid shape of most of the objects are our biggest clue" he said walking in front of Kara. She whimpered slightly but didn't turn again not wanting to make him suspicious. "It's almost as if they were some sort of covering but for what reason, we couldn't say."

Kara nervously chuckled as she tried to keep her eyes above the neck. There was no way she could maintain any level of professionalism if she kept staring at his privates.

"And what about the small device we've heard about, any theories about that?" Kara asked.

"Not yet" he said "though we did find some sort of power button on it, however the Commander doesn't want us to press it before we have some idea of what it does".

"Probably for the best"

"Would you like to see it?" He asked.

"Yes" she said too quickly.

"Eager aren't we?" He said sarcastically.

"Sorry, it's just such an interesting story" she lied quickly.

"It's no problem, it's just this way" he said motioning towards the door.

She turned to leave, once more showing off her ass, as they both left. She turned her head around quickly to get once last glance at her clothes wondering if she could risk grabbing them now. She shrugged her head and walked away, knowing she had to stay focused on the device so that they had a way off of this Earth. She followed the man down the hall hoping she would have a chance to take the extrapolator and her clothes.

Meanwhile

Kate silently walked by Sophie's side, unsure of what to say that wouldn't blow her cover. This part of the building seemed somewhat similar to the one on Earth One which helped to calm her nerves but being naked with her ex-girlfriend's doppelganger was never going to be easy.

"So how have things been around here?" She asked trying to fill the silence.

"Pretty quiet actually" Sophie replied. "Crime in Gotham has been down lately ever since Batwoman showed up".

'So this Earth had a Batwoman' Kate thought. 'Wonder if it's me and what she's wearing.' Kate made a mental note to find a picture of this Earth's Batwoman before she left.

"Make's your job easier" she said smirking. Suddenly Sophie stopped.

"Kate, I know we haven't seen a lot of each other lately." Kate suddenly felt very guilty being in the middle of her doppelganger's love life despite the good feeling she got being on good terms with Sophie again. "I want to spend more time with you but the Crows are still needed even if this city's forgotten that. I just hope you can be patient"

Kate froze, this was obviously a very sensitive subject for the two of them and what she could say could either fix their relationship or end it.

"I know how important your job is to you babe" she chose her words carefully while taking Sophie's hand. "I'm here for you whenever, wherever"

Sophie smiled at her and for a moment, Kate found herself no longer caring that they were naked or that they were on another Earth and that the multiverse was in danger. She was being drawn in by Sophie's comforting presence. And before Kate could get in another word, Sophie leaned in and kissed her taking her by surprise for a moment before pulling away.

"What are you doing?" Kate asked somewhat embarrassed.

"I was just thinking that we have the training room to ourselves and we don't see each other that often. We have to take these moments whenever we can" Sophie said.

Her reasoning would have made sense if she was this Earth's Kate and they were actually in a relationship. It felt wrong to be so intimate with another Kate's Sophie but backing out now might arouse suspicion. Not to mention how good it felt to kiss her again, she so badly wanted to do it again.
