Does Leon go back to the cabin with Ashley? And what's happening up at the cabin?
Promises, Promises
Amber sighed loudly, loud enough for Chloe to hear, and glared over at the redhead on the other end of the sofa. Hearing Amber’s audible discontent, Chloe glanced over and smiled as she leaned in closer to Trent, who sat in the precarious position between the blonde and the redhead. He too took a side look at Amber, aware that he was being used as a pawn in the power struggle between the two women. Normally, being stuck between two hot, sexually adventurous women would have been right where Trent wanted to be, but with the dangerous looks being shot across the divide it felt more like No Man’s Land. As he looked over at the other sofa, and envied Kurt who was sitting all alone, he wondered where Gavin had disappeared to.
Kurt took very little notice of what was going on between Amber, Chloe and Trent, except to frown a little when he saw Chloe shuffle in closer to the black teen. But by the way she stared at Amber, Kurt could tell the action was more about rubbing it in the other girl’s face than any overwhelming affection for Trent. Not that Kurt had any right to be jealous. It had been his own misstep when he’d left Chloe and Gavin at the waterfall, mistakenly believing that Gavin had chosen her over Victoria. Still, with Victoria’s insistence of a twenty-four hour buffer before they made any decisions on their relationship, the he couldn’t help but wonder ‘what if’.
“Well, it’s official,” Gavin announced, returning to the living room and finding his friends exactly how he’d left them; staring at a television screen that none of them were really paying attention to. “My phone has disappeared.”
“You lost your phone?” Kurt said, eager for something to distract him. “You want some help looking for it? Where was the last place you remember having it?”
“No, no, um, that’s alright,” Gavin hastily shot down the idea, remembering that the last time he had the phone was on his way out to the living room last night where he wound up fucking Victoria, and that was certainly not a conversation he wanted to have with Kurt. “I’m sure it’ll turn up. This trip was meant to help me spend less time on my phone anyway.”
“Well, okay, if you’re sure? It wouldn’t be hard to look for it…no?” When Gavin failed to take him up on the offer, Kurt looked around for something else to do, wanting to stay active rather than wallow in thoughts about why Victoria wanted to give him time to think about whether he really wanted a relationship. Was it just a stalling tactic because she needed time to think? Or was she just letting him down gently just like Jennifer had done? He shook his head, and dispelled the thoughts. “We should do something. I don’t want to sit around all day.”
“YES!” Amber said excitedly, sitting forward. “Let’s play a game.”
“NO!” Gavin and Chloe answered together, both remembering how out of control the last game had gotten, the consequences having contributed to the deterioration of both their relationships.
Chloe shook her head and added, “I don’t think that’s a good idea”, earning her another glare from the cheerleader.
Seeing Brandon approaching from the other hall, Gavin took the opportunity to change the subject. “Hey. What are your plans for today?” he asked the quarterback.
Brandon froze and looked around the room, slightly confused at being put on the spot. He ran a hand through his wet hair and said, “I dunno. I just took a shower. I didn’t have any plans beyond that yet.”
“Interesting…” Chloe grinned. “Madison just went past earlier in a towel. That must have been quite the strenuous lap sitting if you both needed a shower.”
“Two people needing a shower, what’s so strange about that?” Amber asked, crinkling her nose at the redhead. She leaned in closer to Trent and spoke in a faux whisper. “That girl is so weird.”
Laughing, Brandon scratched the back of his head, and added, “Yeah, it’s a hot day, you know.”
“Oh, yeah, so hot,” Chloe teased the football player, though it was mostly Amber’s incomprehension that she enjoyed, even as everyone else in the room noticed Brandon’s embarrassment. “I bet you really needed a good cooling off.”
Amber leaned into Trent again and sang, “Soooo weird.”
Clearing his throat, Brandon did what every politician does when the discussion is about something unfavorable; he changed the subject. “So, what is the plan for today?” He tilted his head thoughtfully. “I guess this is one of the first days in a while that no one is in any immediate danger.”
“Danger?” Amber perked up, excited by the prospect of gossip. “Who was in danger?” She sank back into the couch when no one offered an answer though. “Well, I was trying to get a fun game going, but these guys are all being boring. Maybe something like seven minutes in Heaven, though I guess for me and you we could make it seventeen minutes.”
Biting her lip, Amber looked up at Brandon with a sultry stare that made it quite clear that she intended a lot more than kissing if they got trapped behind a closet door together. He swallowed hard, not quite knowing how to shut her down, his mouth too dry to speak and a hardness in his pants telling him that maybe he didn’t want to deny her. Thankfully though, once again, Chloe came to his rescue.
“So, Trent is all mine then?” Chloe asked, leaning her head on the black teen’s broad shoulder.
“No way, Trent wants me,” Amber hugged his other side. Glancing over her shoulder at Brandon, as the heat below his belt cooled, she added, “I mean, you’re…I…um.” Growling, she rounded on Chloe, furious at being outfoxed by the fiery redhead. “It’s not like either of them would go for you.”
“You want them both?” Chloe whistled as she pretended to be shocked. “That’s gonna be a tight closet. Threesomes are a lot of fun, but, take it from me, soooo exhausting.”
“B-bullshit. You’ve never had a threesome.” Amber stared hard at Chloe, re-evaluating the soccer player. Losers like her weren’t supposed to be so sexually experienced. “That’s such a lie.”
Gavin and Kurt shared a brief look, unnoticed by the blonde cheerleader. Of course, Gavin also remembered the screams of Hannah as Chloe doubled penetrated her with the aid of a strap-on and Peter Zander, Hannah’s ex-boyfriend. He caught Trent’s eye as well, both teens recalling the threesome they’d indulged in just two days ago, when the black teen had fucked both him and Chloe. In fact, when he thought about it like that, listing it all in his head, Chloe’s experience with group sex was remarkable. And their trip wasn’t at an end quite yet…
With Gavin lost in thought about the future possibilities, Kurt spoke up as he remembered Chloe’s first threesome, shared between himself and his cousin. Clearing his throat, he suggested, “Ashley already told us to gather wood for the fire tomorrow, and to tidy up the camp site.”
“Boo,” Amber called out. “That sounds like chores. This is supposed to be Spring Break. Don’t you want to have fun?”
“Of course. The whole reason that we’re doing this is for the party tomorrow,” Brandon reminded her. “That’ll be the fun part.”
“I’m totally regretting coming up here early,” Amber whined, slouching down on the couch.
“Yes, we regret that you came up here early too,” Chloe was quick to counter, earning herself another dirty look from the blonde.
“Alright, alright,” Brandon fanned his hands as he tried to calm the girls with reason. Realizing that he wouldn’t get Amber on board without some incentive, he bargained with her. “We’ll play a game after we’re done, okay? I promise. Even if no one else wants to play, we can play, just you and me.”
“Really?” She bounced up in her seat so fast it was miraculous she didn’t have whiplash.
“Really really,” Brandon confirmed.
“Alright, now we’re talking.” She hopped up onto her feet and started towards the door, looking around at the others, still stationary. “Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go,” she chanted with the excitement of a puppy. “What needs done first?”
“Well, the mess at the camp site is mostly mine and Madison’s fault, so we should be-”
“Hold on a minute,” Kurt suggested, raising a hand to Brandon. “Where’s Victoria?”
No one answered, either shrugging or shaking their heads, with the singular exception of Amber, who simply didn’t care enough to offer a response.
“I think she should be here while we figure out who does what, so can you hold off for a second while I look for her?” He asked, receiving mostly nods, except for Amber who sighed and threw herself onto the other, empty sofa. “Thanks,” he said to the others.
Given that he’d been in the living area since their chat in the kitchen, Kurt was fairly confident that Victoria hadn’t gone through into any other part of the cabin. That only left three places that could likely be. Peeking into the kitchen, he didn’t find her there. He looked through the glass doors and even opened them to look closer, but didn’t see any sign of the blonde out on the deck or in the hot tub. Peering around into the dining area, he found her, huddled close to Kendra, talking in hushed, hurried whispers.
“Hey…” he said carefully, both girls straightening up as they became aware of his presence. “…what’s going on here? What were you two talking about?”
“The viability of polygamy,” Kendra quipped without much hesitation.
Victoria smiled at brunette but soothed Kurt’s evident concern. “I was just talking some of my, um, feelings through with Kendra. Trying to make a decision within twenty-four hours, and I just…I just didn’t want to be overheard.”
“Oh,” Kurt said, thoughts about what feelings exactly she might have been discussing overriding any suspicions and concerns. He felt a mixture of disappointment and hope, deflated that it wasn’t an easy answer from her, but at the very least if it was a decision that she was trying to make, he held onto some small chance that one of the options might be ‘yes’. He hated not knowing. He hated the waiting. This was exactly why he’d stopped pursuing anything more than sexual relationships with women. When it was just about sex, there was so much less to lose.
“Did you want something?” Victoria asked, cutting through his introspection.
“Oh, yeah,” he said through the lump in his throat. “I was looking for you.”
“Aw, that’s sweet,” Victoria cooed.
“Or controlling,” noted Kendra.
But Victoria shook her head and insisted, “No, it’s sweet. I like that he thinks about me when I’m not around and wonders if I’m safe.” Her golden hair bounced as she cocked her head up towards Kurt again. “But, you know, you don’t have to worry so much. I’m a big girl. I can take care of myself.”
“It’s you taking care of things by yourself that worries me,” Kurt admitted, at the risk of upsetting her and tanking any chance he had with her. But being postponed for a day had him frustrated and saying things he might otherwise have held his tongue about. “The last time you were by yourself, you started pulling away from everyone. You seem to be distancing yourself from everyone again…” He eyed the brunette sitting next to her. “…except for Kendra.”
“So, what you don’t trust me? After last night?” Kendra took offense. “You can fuck me, but you can’t take me at my word?”
“I do trust you,” Kurt clarified. “If you say nothing is going on, I do believe you…” He turned his attention back to Victoria. “And I know I just have to give you time to process everything that’s happened. I…I don’t know. I just don’t want you to fall back into bad habits.”
“I told you last night, nothing is going on,” Kendra said firmly.
“It’s not that I’m falling into bad habits again but…I guess I just don’t feel much in the party mood,” Victoria said with a shrug. “That’s why I told you to go have fun.”
“Well, that’s why I came to get you. We’re splitting up the pre-party set up.”
“Sorry, but I’m going to sit this one out,” Victoria sat back in her chair with her arms crossed, offering him only a frown. “I don’t feel much like celebrating after everything that’s happened this week, and I really don’t want to help set up for a party I’m probably not even gonna enjoy.”
“But-”
“I’ll stay with her,” Kendra assured him with an emphatic smile. “You really can trust me.”
And Kurt really did. Though he pursed his lips, unhappy at the thought of Victoria staying behind by herself, he did believe she would be safe with Kendra. The older brunette had proven herself to be a useful ally of late, both in feeding him information about Shawn and keeping him apprised of Victoria’s mood when she wasn’t particularly forthcoming. Everything about Shawn she told him straight away and he knew that he could rely on her to put Victoria’s wellbeing first. But he couldn’t shake the instinct to stay by her side as well.
“Maybe I’ll stay behind as well,” Kurt offered.
“No, you should go. Have fun.” Victoria beamed, with a large grin. “I promise, whatever happens today, I won’t get mad. It won’t count against you tomorrow.”
“Is that because you want immunity for yourself?” Kurt asked the question that had been biting at the back of his brain.
“What?” Victoria gasped in a humored surprise. “Not at all. I have zero plans for today. Besides, if everyone else leaves, the only person I could seduce is Kendra, and I, um…” She bit her lip as past a glance over Kendra’s tight, enticing twenty-year old figure. “…I don’t think I’d need immunity to do that.”
Kendra laughed and glanced at Kurt, knowing that just the suggestion was making him contemplate the possibilities. “Just go,” she told him. “Give her some space and let her figure things out. I promise she’ll come back to you.”
“Keeeeenndrrrrrraaaaa,” Victoria looked away, embarrassed by her blushing cheeks. “Don’t go promising things like that.”
Frowning with one side of his mouth, Kurt had no other recourse than to relent. If she wanted time to think then he had to give her that time. Besides, when everyone left Victoria behind to deal with Hannah nothing had happened, and they wouldn’t be gone long.
“Alright, if Kendra is here with you, I guess it’s okay,” he said, half-turning towards the door. “Brandon was talking about playing a game later, to keep Amber quiet. I’ll go if you agree to play later, and actually spend some time socializing with your friends. I think it’d be good for you.”
“Okay,” Victoria compromised, nodding softly. “That sounds like a good idea.”
“I’ll see you later then,” he said, pausing as he passed over the threshold. “Be safe.”
“You too,” Victoria replied. When Kurt looked at her, confused, she added, “well, there’s all manner of lions, bears and-”
“Tigers?” Kendra suggested, putting on a theatrical voice. “Oh my.”
“I was going to say wolves,” Victoria said, chuckling. “Or you could trip over a rock or a root. Honestly,” she said to Kurt, “you’re in more danger out there than I am in here.”
“The lions haven’t been seen around here in a long time, and the bears never traverse this far out of the forest,” Kurt told her, recalling the information he’d learned from the Ranger Camps. “And honestly, I’d take either of them over Shawn any day.”
Leaving the girls, Kurt made his way back to the living room where Madison had returned, now much more appropriately dressed in a pair of dark dye, ripped denim jeans and a burgundy, one shoulder tank top, both borrowed from Ashley. With everyone gathered in the living room, Kurt announced that Victoria and Kendra wouldn’t be joining them. Amber protested, asking why she had to help if they didn’t, but Brandon reminded her that the game they would play later was dependent on her compliance.
“As I was saying earlier,” Brandon continued. “The mess at the camp site is mostly mine and Madison’s doing, so we’ll tidy that up.”
“Oh, thanks for volunteering me,” Madison pouted jokingly.
“I’m going with Brandon,” Amber declared, grabbing on to his arm, and incurring a real scowl from his twin.
“Great,” Chloe said, locking her arm in his, “I guess Trent is all mine then.”
Amber growled in frustration, sounding like an angry little terrier. She glanced between Brandon, standing by his sister, and to Trent, with the curvy redhead by his side, debating with herself who she wanted more. Deciding, falsely, that Madison posed no threat, she crossed the room to the black teen’s other side, “No way, I’m going with Trent too.”
“I don’t think you two should have to tidy up everything by yourselves,” Kurt noted. He pointed towards Trent and the two girls. “Gavin, why don’t you go help those guys gather firewood, and I’ll help the twins.”
“Sure,” Gavin agreed, sharing a nervous glance with Trent, remembering what had happened out in the woods just that morning. But he was sure that was unlikely to happen again with the girls so close.
“Everyone knows what they’re doing?” Brandon double checked.
“Yes!” Amber said, rushing towards the door. The sooner they finished this, the sooner they could start the game. “Let’s go!”
Are Victoria and Kendra safe at the cabin? What happens to the teams out in the woods?
