When they arrive, they find Paula is napping and overweight.

The drive to the apartment was quick and boring, and once there they stormed in, Jed's heart beating faster and faster in fear of what he may find. His eyes quickly caught the sight of Paula sleeping on the couch, her body splayed out while in her most casual of clothes. He'd seen her in that position many a time before, but there was something different now for sure. Namely, that where her shirt was raised up there wasn't a flat stomach, but a large soft tummy. All over her body, Paula looked like she'd packed on some weight, she must have been at least 250 pounds now.

Dominique was looking at her too, sympathy in her eyes. "Looks like what you said about her having a coin too was right." Then, some other emotion flickered across her face, and she leaned over to kiss Jed on the cheek. It shocked him, and he looked at her, aghast. She just rolled her eyes. "What? She's asleep, and we're probably going to solve this thing, so why can't I enjoy it while it lasts? Besides, you can't tell me you're more attracted to the sleeping giant over there than to me?" She must have said that last bit too loud, because Paula yawned as her eyes opened, and she rose from the couch to see the two people in the apartment.
