Finally check the bank

The bank is fancier than anything back home, and I must have looked so out of place that a security guard approached me to ask If I needed help.

John: Yes, I was told to look for Mary, I was told she handles investment portfolios.

The guard went away for a moment after asking me to stay put, and came back just to direct me to a door to the side of the bank.

*knock*knock*knock*

An older gentleman opened the door

Clerk: Are you Mr. Gallardo´s son?

John: Yes, that's me.

Back home no one ever referred to my dad by his last name, it was first name basis with pretty much anyone.

Clerk: Follow me.

I was taken to another smaller office and was introduced to Mary.

Mary: Hi, hello. I'm Mary, I will be managing your investment portfolio.

John: You keep saying that, but I'm not familiar with it...

Of course it was a lie, my grandad talked about it and so my dad, they taught me the basics, but Mary was cute and just wanted an excuse to spend as much time with her as possible.

Mary: Oh, ok. Well, basically is an account with money from which you can't withdraw any amount until the end of the month. You need to start with at least $1000, you can add as much as you want as many times over the month as you want, and at the end of the month you will earn a certain amount at the end of the month, it will depend on which options paid out.

John: Sounds, is this your first account?

Mary was clearly uncomfortable, after looking around, in a closed and private office, she confessed that yes, it was the first account she had been entrusted with. Apparently my dad specifically requested someone new to handle my account, if I was to gain experience on my time here, may as well help other gain some experience.

John: While I had no intention to open the account, I will open it. And to be honest with you, I do have some experience with this, so we can help each other. You will handle the account, gain the experience while I gain money. Deal?

Mary: OMG! Thank you!
