How did the search go?
Fruitlessly.
For some reason, when you asked the librarian for books on magic, she directs you to the Hobbies and Crafts section. You scowl as Djal howls with laughter, while you navigate the corridors looking for anything from mythology and religious texts to the occult. And when you do find something, you don't get any peace as Djal keeps pointing out inconsistencies, fluff pieces and straight up lies. "That worthless piece of shit!" He screams, turning over a page. "He's 16 feet tall, not 60! Who wrote this? I need to speak with the author."
Your eye twitches, as you keep trying to concentrate. Rubbing your temples, you mutter to yourself, "This will all be worth it when I get rid of him. This will all be worth it when I get rid of him."
"Yeah, keep telling yourself that." He replies, dropping a stack of heavy books in front of you. A loud thud echoes through the library and you get some dirty looks from the other readers. Blowing dust in your face, he cracks open one of the books. "You might have some luck with this one. I, on the other hand, am going to look for something about those mechanized carriages everyone's using these days."
Spinning the book around, you start to read it, but it's in some ancient language. You scour the library looking for dictionaries and any translated texts. Dumping several stacks onto your table, you get to work translating. But when the lights come on, you're seething with rage. Resisting the urge to flip the table, you stomp outside to get some air. "Didn't find what you were looking for, huh?" A voice calls out to you from the side.
