Where are you?
The Library.
"Oh. A knowledge repository. I haven't been in one of these since Aleksandrius. All those scrolls, up in smoke." Djal muses, looking the building up and down, before chuckling to himself. "Oh well, probably for the better anyway. No records of my stupid younger days, eh? Oh, the things I did. And Khleo? Not as attractive as they said. She was a queen. Who doesn't want to fuck a queen?"
"You didn't have anything to do with that fire, did you?" You ask, wiping sweat off your brow.
Djal thinks about it for a moment. "Don't think so. But it has been several millennia since I've been among mortals, so..." He shrugs and starts walking up the stairs. "I'll tell you what I was involved in though, Alantia. Now, that was a fun bachelor party. The sheer chaos you can get up to with two goats, a bag of mushrooms, 15 sailors and an entire galley full of wine. Good times."
You watch him walk through the library doors, still rambling on, and shake your head. The chances that he's telling the truth are only marginally better than people believing that you know what happened to that city of legend. But you do feel a flicker of hope here. There's all kinds of books here. At least one of them has got to have something that can get rid of this pest.
