That’s when you notice your Nintendo Switch case lying on the nightstand, and you get an idea. Maybe she’ll know how video games work? You may not have watched/read Boruto but you’ve learned enough about by osmosis it to know that technology has VASTLY improved from what it was during the events of Naruto, which itself had inconsistent technology levels. You knew Boruto’s era had handheld gaming so maybe during Naruto’s youth they had arcade machines of some kind?

You shrug internally. It’s worth a shot.

“Hey, Sakura?” you ask.

“Yes?” she looks up at you.

“Are there video games in the Elemental Nations?”

She looks a bit confused for a moment, before a lightbulb seemingly goes off in her head, “Oh, you mean like those arcade machines they have in Kumo? I’ve never used one of those myself but I know OF them. Why do you ask?”

“Well around here we have something like that, albeit probably a a lot more advanced than what you’re talking about. Wanna try it out?” you ask. You’ll probably need to walk her through how to play but it’s better than her having no frame of reference for them at all.

She shrugs, “Sure, I don’t mind, but I didn’t see anything big enough to look like an arcade machine?”

You remove your arm from around Sakura and reach over to grab your Nintendo Switch case. As you remove the console and turn it on, Sakura looks dumbfounded by the small device. You remove the Joycons from the sides of the Switch, and set it up to stand on your nightstand.

“W-Wait, that’s it? It’s that small?” she asks.

You nod, “Yep. Watch this.”

You turn on the game you already had inserted into the device.
