"You Can't Show My Minge on Prime Time !"

"Change of plan ?" asked Debbi. "Yes" replied Reg. "Saffy did that with your knickers off the cuff, sort of heat of the moment kind of thing" he continued. "But you can't show my minge on prime time ?" Debbi blurted out. The conservative Reg blushed at Debbi's turn of phrase. "No, no, 'course not. You misunderstand. The thing is, we got such a great reaction shot from Jethro when the knickers landed in his pint that we don't want to lose it." Debbi could see the logic of that. "Of course we'll cut the cat fight sequence so nothing shows but we want you to be chased out to the car park bottomless. I'm pretty sure we can get away with a long shot of your bare bum" Reg explained, suddenly realising the incongruity of conducting this conversation in the middle of the set with a Debbi dressed only in her bra and torn stockings ! He blushed again. "Er, wardrobe ? Have you got a robe for Debbi while we set up the shot ?"

The filming continued for the next hour or so. Debbi was chased out of the pub by Angie / Saffron and her cronies, running to the car park, jumping in her car and speeding off. It took a couple of takes before Giles the director was satisfied he had enough footage to cut up into a double time Benny Hill style chase. They also decided to shoot a section of the cat fight again, filming Debbi's legs from the thighs down as her knickers were pulled off. Fortunately, wardrobe had a spare pair to take the place of the sodden garment that had landed in Jethro's beer !

"So how did you find your first day as an actress ?" Reg asked Debbi later once she had dressed again. "Not quite what I had expected" Debbi laughed. "You were splendid" Reg congratulated her. "We'll see how our audience responds to you when the episode goes out" he told her. At least it'll be some reward for the long suffering husbands who have to put up with their wives insisting on watching this crap, he thought. Although the soap was his baby, Reg had no illusions about the artistic quality of his product !
