Remembrance of clothes lost

"Gee, I wish I had a good warm coat right now," said Amy as she climbed down the ladder that would hopefully lead her to the place where Rory was at.

"Well, you don't so I suppose you'll just have to get used to it," said the Doctor.

"I don't suppose I can borrow your suit jacket?" asked Amy.

"No, you can't," said the Doctor.

"Oh, please," said Amy.

"As I recall, you have a whole room full of clothes back on the TARDIS that you never wore," said the Doctor.

"That was different," said Amy. "Most of those clothes were out of fashion. Anyway, I would obviously wear some of those clothes today if I could get my hands on them. But the TARDIS is not here."

"Well, at least you have on your nano-watch," said the Doctor. "No, wait, you don't."

"I don't?" asked Amy. "Oh my God, I'm going to turn into one of those cruel, inhuman things!"

"Worse than that, you're going to turn into a Dalek," said the Doctor.

"How can I avoid doing that?" asked Amy.

"I don't know," said the Doctor. "I'd imagine the process would be very subtle. First you start seeing things as a Dalek would see them, then you start having memory problems --"

"Memory problems?" asked Amy. "Why would I have memory problems?"

"Because the first phase of the conversion process usually begins with the mind," said the Doctor.

"Oh, I see," said Amy.

Then Amy glanced at her left wrist. "Oh no!" she cried. "I lost my nano-watch. Now I'm going to turn into one of those cruel, inhuman things..."
