A mythical weapon

"Holy shit," you say out loud. Scarlet turns to glare at you. Luckily, there are no soldiers or scientists around to hear you.

"Teleport us inside," she says, putting her hand on your shoulder. You nod and activate your teleportation ring, bringing you 2 onto the other side of the glass and into the room where the item is sitting in the middle of the floor. There's nothing else in the room. You're still speechless as you gawk at the object.

"That's... is that what I think it is?" you ask.

Scarlet paces around the object, inspecting it visually. "Yes," she says.

"But... but, it can't be real..."

"Why not? Magic is real. You know that," Scarlet says, taking a knee to get a better look at the object. There's a camera in the corner of the room, which she notices, but she doesn't seem concerned.

"Yeah, but magic is 1 thing, myth and legend is another."

"You really don't know anything, do you?" Scarlet shakes her head and looks up at you. She tips her fedora up to get a better look at the object and motions for you to get closer. "Put your hand on my shoulder. When I grab it, teleport us back to the Bureau."

You go up behind her and place a hand on her shoulder, getting ready to do as she instructed. "Can you... pick it up?"

"It's probably not that heavy."

"That's not what I meant."

"What do you mean?"

"Didn't you watch the movies?" you ask.

Scarlet glances over her shoulder up at you. "I don't really have time to go the movies." The scar of her face seems to emphasize her point.

"Well, in the movies, not everyone can pick it up."

Scarlet rolls her eyes and turns back to the object. "This is not a movie," she says, reaching out wrapping both of her gloved hands around the item. "Now!" she says when you don't teleport you both immediately, and you snap out of it and bring you 2 back to the interrogation room in the Bureau of Oddities and Abnormalities. The first thing you do is look at the ground to see if the object had come with you 2. It did. You then deactivate the invisibility ring and let go of Scarlet, taking a step back. You hold your breath as she starts to stand and lifts the object off the ground. She holds the object up and grins, pleased at the success of the mission. You had nearly forgotten that your life depended on it as you look on in awe as Scarlet admires the object and she says it's name, "Mjölnir." Otherwise know as the hammer of Thor, god of thunder.
