What becomes of the human-hearted?

"Satisfied now, Kennedy?" said the formerly Dark Buffy. "I'm human now. After all that time as a Vengeance Angel, I'm a fucking human again."

"Oh, come on, Dark B," said Faith. "You got used to it before. You'll get used to it again."

"You okay, Kennedy?" asked future -- no, Amy. Just Amy.

Her Amy, Kennedy found herself thinking for some odd reason as she nodded in response to Amy's question.

Oh, god, Kennedy thought. Could this be the end of my flirting days? Good thing I'm still naked. Otherwise, I'd be worried. Though wait a minute. Is Faith really checking me out or does she just keep glancing my way for the heck of it?

"Ready to head back, you three?" asked Halfrek.

"You really want to take them back after everything that happened today?" asked Vengeance Angel Amy.

"Why not?" asked Halfrek. "After what I heard today, Amy might very well be a lucrative client some day. Anyway, in the end, it was just business. Nothing personal. She was obliged to do what she did to help the Slayers and I was obliged to help my fellow justice demons."

"Whatever," said Vengeance Angel Amy with a shrug.

With that, she disappeared into thin air, leaving behind only a cloud of black smoke that smelled like sulfur.

"So what about formerly Dark Buffy?" asked a still naked Kennedy.

"We leave her here, of course," said Amy.

"And Darla?" asked Kennedy.

"Personally, I would have staked her the minute she started bragging about having killed me in another timeline," said Faith. "But that's just me. In the end, it was Amy's call."

"Leave her here," said Amy. "It's not like she can follow us. And if being human now doesn't give formerly Dark Buffy an incentive to stake her, I don't know what will."

"Can we stop by a clothing store on the way back to the Sunnydale High library?" asked Kennedy.

"No," said Halfrek.

"Oh, please," said Kennedy. "I wish --"

"Oh, my goddess," said Amy. "No more wishes, Kennedy. Please. Not if you love me."

"Do you love me?" asked Kennedy.

"Of course I do," said Amy. "You saved me from myself. That was a hard thing to do."

"Then I love you too," said Kennedy.

"I am officially a diabetic now," said Faith. "Can we stop by the drugstore on the way home so that I can pick up some insulin?"

"No!" said Halfrek.

"Okay then," said Amy. "I wish for the four of us to go back to the Sunnydale High School library without incident."

"Wish granted," said Halfrek.

And with that, the four of them disappeared.
