The day before

The few days of rest before the internship pass quickly and consist mainly in either play video games or chilling by your pool.

As you were enjoying life by your pool with Chloe, you hear the email notification.

Miss Morris,

On account of some external ****, I won't be able to welcome you tomorrow at the beginning of your shift. In consequence, you will report directly to Ms. Ross tomorrow morning, and I will be meeting you in the afternoon.

As a reminder going through the employee manual is advisable before your first day, it will be attached in this email again.

Chloe was behind you and read the mail at the same time.

"Why would she call you Miss ?" she asked, confused.

"I don't know, the first time I thought it's was a mistake, and I didn't want to seem rude to point it, but now, I don't know" you responded as confused as her.

"That would be hilarious if they were really waiting for a girl, and you showed up," she says, laughing while she pushes you to sit beside you on the deck chair.

"And what's that employee manual, she seems pretty stern about it ?" she adds while tapping the attachment on your phone.

"Oh, I read the beginning, it looks like it's just basic stuff about customer service. You can take a look if you want" you answer while getting up to get a glass of fresh water.

She takes your phone and starts to swipe through the pages.

As you come back, you ear Chloe burst out laughing.

"Hey Alex, I think I found out what your uniform look like," she says, still trying to catch her breath while showing you a picture of a woman in the hotel uniform.

"It looks like it's an employee manual only for woman, there a lot of detail about what you need to wear with your uniform, but there nothing for guys in there" she then adds.

You look at the picture, you see a woman wearing the hotel uniform, on the tops, she wears a blouse in the hotel color's, a black blazer with the hotel logo's embroidered. Under that, she wears a pencil skirt that ends at her knee, it looks like she wears some kind of sheer pantyhose. At her feet some black high heels.

Your smile fade as you start to realize that you might end up in that outfit.

As she sees your face, Chloe adds, "If you end up in that uniform, I want a picture."

"Anyway, I really need to leave, I need a good night of sleep for my first day," saying that Chloe starts to get up and put her t-shirt and short over her swimsuit.
