Chapter 119 by zewesman zewesman

"So, where's this kingdom of yours?" asked the demon as she followed John to his room.

The Calm Before the Storm

An eerie silence had settled across the kingdom as John and his companions had settled in to wait for the eventual attack by the Order. Elven patrols made their way across the parapets, bows in hand, ready for any sign of enemy movement. Other patrols made their way from the now very buried cavern to the edge of the forest. Under command of Ranger General Kornac, the elves stationed in the forest would be the first line of defense against the Order’s troops.

“Ranger Aleria, status report?” commanded the grizzled general.

“Yes, sir! No signs of enemy activity. All traps have been set and all ambush groups are reporting ready. All that’s needed is for the enemy to show themselves,” finished the young elf. Kornac stroked his beard as he heard the report from his subordinate.

“I see. Excellent work, return to your post. And don’t worry, the action you seek will happen soon enough,” he told his young companion before she nodded and walked away. Kornac couldn’t help but stare at her shapely ass as she walked away. “Perhaps if you both survive this, Kornac, you can personally promote her,” he chuckled to himself as he went back to focus on the stalling plans that he and John had come up with.

“So, what did Mrs. Wentworth exactly say?” asked John to his demon guest.

“Simple. She said to assist you in any way possible to ensure that you win. Mainly because if you die, I’ll die too,” said the demon as she sat in her chair, her feet up on the table. “And I dunno about you, Johnny dear, but I enjoy living!” she said as she licked her lips.

“Ok, fine. You’ll help us. But what exactly can you do?” asked John, while his eyes made their way across her rather delightful body. The demon clearly noticed him looking and made sure to push her rather well endowed chest out even more for him.

“Oh I can do many things for you, baby,” she said, her lips puckered out after each word. “I can do this thing with my tongue where--”

“NOT THAT!” roared Idena, whose patience had worn thin with the most unwanted guest. “What assistance can you provide in the battle,” grumbled the angry greater harpy.

“Oh, that!” chuckled Uratha. “Well why didn’t you say so!” she smiled as she spoke. “I can do many things. As you can tell, I’m not really the front lines type,” she said as she ran her hands across her body. A sigh came from every single female in the room while John’s eyes were locked to the movement of her hands. “So I specialize in summoning magic. Imps, kappas, and up to Sin 3 of the Seven Hells of the Demon Army. As you can see, I like to go with the tried but true swarm tactics. Sure I could probably grab Sins 4 and 5 easy, but that’d involve too much work and don’t fit my style. Well, maybe 5, but that’d mean I’d have to get 4 first and I just can’t be bothered,” finished the demon.

“Hmm. So they may not be the strongest of fighters, but their sheer numbers can overwhelm opponents. We could use that, yeah,” started John as he attempted to figure out the best place to add Uratha to the battle plan. “We could hold her back and wait until the Order assaults us. Then, when we see a spot where they are about to break through, we could send Uratha there to reinforce it. The Order soldiers that broke the lines will most likely have taken heavy losses or used up a lot of energy to get through,” John told his colleagues.

“Yes, I agree. She would be an excellent reinforcement tool. Can you teleport?” asked Mikuru, whose own plans depended on the answer.

“Limited, yes. I really do need to work on it more. But I can easily teleport around the battlefield, if that’s what you need me to do,” Uratha truthfully told the earth powered warrior.

“I see. In that case, we can have her at the back, with the ranged fighters, such as the archers and mages, perhaps even on the parapets, where she can oversee the entire battlefield. Once she sees a line about to collapse, she can teleport there and begin summoning reinforcements for us,” concluded Mikuru.

“Yes, that could work. She could stay near me, and I can give the order for her to deploy,” chimed in Princess Sylva.

“I agree, that would probably work best. So it’s decided,” John said as he turned to Uratha, “you’ll stay in the back alongside Princes Sylva. You both will watch over the battlefield and if either of you see a place where you should go, let the other know and if you both agree you shall teleport there and reinforce the lines, got it?” John told Uratha.

“Of course, King John!” she said as she did a little head bow. “The witch never mentioned you were a king or so cute. Maybe once this is all done and we survive, I’ll give you a special reward!” she said as she cupped of her breasts and once again ran her tongue along her lips.

“No! I forbid it!” growled Idena, who clearly was not happy the demon was there.

“Idena, it’s ok. I can handle myself around demons,” John said as he placed a hand on the harpy’s shoulder. His touch calmed the rage in Idena’s body as she relaxed a bit.

“Fine, master. I just don’t trust her,” replied Idena.

“Aww, sweetie, do I need to win you over before I can have fun with him? That’s fine with me. I got this neat trick I’m sure you’ll love!” Uratha told Idena, who just glared daggers at the chuckling demon. Before things could escalate even more between the two, Gali entered the room with a message for John.

“My king, your mother is awake. She was rather...startled when she saw me. I told her it was ok and that I would fetch you. It is time,” Gali informed her liege. John nodded to Gali, who bowed and then returned to where his mother was being kept.

“Well, it seems we have everything here done. So, if you all will excuse me, I must talk with my mother. Idena, show Uratha to her room, and try to be nice to her, for me?” asked John with pleading eyes. Idena sighed but nodded in agreement, which brought a smile to John’s face. With his business done, John turned and left the room.

“Well, you heard the king, off to your room!” commanded Idena as she walked over to Uratha.

“Ok, I’ll go. And I’ll even spend the whole night in there under one condition,” offered Uratha. Idena raised an eyebrow at Uratha’s offer.

“And what would that condition be?” asked Idena, almost afraid of the response.

“You stay with me!” she said with a devilish grin on her face.

“It’s a trick,” said the twins in unison while both Princess Sylva and Grand Enchanter Aliressa nodded in agreement.

“I know, but I’d rather keep my eye on her, to make sure she doesn’t do anything fishy,” Idena reaffirmed her friends.

“Oh don’t worry, I’ll make sure your eyes are all over me,” Uratha chimed in, her smile still on her face.

“Yeah, yeah. let’s go,” Idena said as she tugged on Uratha’s arm to **** the demon to stand up. Uratha gladly got up and made her way to the door, her hips swung in a farm more exaggerated manor than needed. Idena sighed at the sight as she followed Uratha’s sexy walk.

"Hey mom, guess we have a lot to talk about, huh?" John said as he attempted a laugh.
