What happens next?
Kennedy gets turned (or if you prefer, sired, converted, vamped, Draculaed, Twilighted -- okay, maybe not Twilighted because who wants to see a sparkling Kennedy -- etc.)
"Look out, Kennedy!" cried Amy.
Kennedy turned just in time to see Darla preparing to fire a gun at her head and then she instantly ducked. Unfortunately, as she did so, she felt someone grab by the shoulders and bite quite deeply into her neck.
She looked up to see who it was and she saw that it was Drusilla.
"Oh, no!" Kennedy cried.
But before she could do anything with her stake, she collapsed.
Buffy rushed forward, only to fall down when Darla shot her in the leg.
Then Drusilla walked up to her and said, "Convert or die. Your choice."
"Bite me!" cried Buffy almost instinctively.
Then she realized too late that that was probably the last thing she should have said under the circumstances. And of course, Drusilla never gave her a chance to say anything else.

Amy was still wondering what she could do when she saw Darla walk up to her.
"You know what your choices are, Witch's Daughter," said Darla. "Convert or die."
Amy just smiled and started to chant.
She was still halfway through her chant when she felt Darla's fangs enter her neck.
