And you thought your first day in a new school was awkward...

"Oh my God!" said Amy. "We overshot our mark. I got the right place but the wrong time."

"So what does that mean?" asked Kennedy. "We go back and try again?"

"Try again to do what?" asked Buffy.

"Nothing," said Amy. "No, wait. I probably shouldn't say this to you, Buffy, but run!"

"Run?" asked Buffy.

"Get away from here," said Amy. "Go home and tell your mom to move back to Los Angeles. I'm sure Joyce will understand."

"How the hell do you know my mom?" asked Buffy.

"I just told you," said Amy. "We meet in the future. Your future. Which means I know things about you that you don't know. And things you don't tell other people right now. Like that thing with the mental hospital."

"Oh my God!" exclaimed Buffy. "You two are trying to prank me. You two found out about that thing my mother did and now you're -- what? Trying to pretend you're delusions or hallucinations or something? You two must have a sick sense of humor."

"No, I'm not," said Amy. "If I were truly mean, Buffy, I would ask you to stay here so that you can help me in the future. But I'm not. I'm trying to do the right thing here even if it seems that I'm not. You need to leave Sunnydale now before it's too late."

"Too late to do what?" said a voice from the shadows.

As Amy watched silently, a black-haired woman in a white dress emerged from the shadows at the other end of the basement.

"I've seen you before," said the new arrival. "You're the Witch's Daughter. Amy something, isn't it?"

"Amy Madison," said Amy. "And I know you, too, Drusilla."

"Oh, really?" asked Drusilla. "That's interesting because while I've seen you from afar more than a few times, we two have never officially met. So how do you know my name?"
