Let the Demon out

Noémie squeezed her eyes shut, silently cursing at the Avians for taking away the medallion and sealing their fate. She begged to the heavens for forgiveness and prayed that her friends, wherever they are would be save from this. Deep inside, she could feel it crack a wide grin as it prepared itself. She knew what is to come.

"Y-You guys...should run." She called out, her face hanging down leaning against the bars. Both Avian guards approached her, asking her if she was ill and needed help. She was sweating rather heavily and appeared to be fatigued.

"Elle ñ'a pas l'air bien." One of them commented, wondering if they should ask their superiors for assistance.

"Trust me, I've never felt better."

Noémie looked up with red demon eyes, her body becoming engulfed in a spontaneous flame that lit up the seemingly dark cave, temporarily blinding and stunning the two birds as she burned through her cage and walked out, her clothes burning away with her.

"Merde!" One of the Avians shouted before running off into one of the many tunnels in that room, the other remained motionless, in shock it seemed as it could not for the life of it reach for his spear. Not that it would do it much good. Noémie smiled and kneeled down, the fire around her being put out as her skin now glowed its sharp red marks. Tracing a finger around the surface of his beak, she found his trauma amusing and gave his forehead a light peck.

"Merci, without you two I would still be stuck inside that nun. I needed to stretch my legs a little bit, do you know where the nearest village may be?" She blowed a soft orange aura from her breath into the Avian's face, its demonic magic translating what she said and manipulating him to respond truthfully, this time his words would be spoken in the common human language.

"N-No village for a days pace nearby, only... t-the dragons nest b-beyond... beyond these walls..."

"A dragon! Well, that sure is an interesting pet to find. I haven't owned one in centuries, I wonder if they would recognize me still." She sat down onto his lap, making herself confortable. "However, I do still need one last thing from you."

He shook his head and whimpered when she leaned in and kissed his beak, suddenly soothing his nerves and calming his mind like some sort of anesthetic. "Shhhh, I won't kill you. I'm a demon of Lust after all, why stop the fun when its just begun?" Wink.

Nihja walked down the dark tunnels, step by step on the cold stone floor bringing her closer. Closer to... what, exactly? She hadn't the slightest clue, she can see through the darkness but was lost in this maze of tunnels it seems. She stopped in her tracks, standing still for what felt like minutes in silence. Nothing, not even a mouse could be heard. Curious, she started walking forward again, further down the rabbit hole before stopping again. This time she heard a pebble be kicked away a few meters behind her. That does it.

Spinning around, she leaped forward and tackled down the figure, raising her claws and aiming for the neck. The Avian held up its wings to protect itself, shouting out apologies and begging for its life. She squinted, recognizing this one before putting away her claws.

"What are you doing following me?"

It was the same bird that guarded her cage. He tilted his head and gave her a sorry look, replying in his native tongue to what translated to gibberish in her ears. "Ugh, can't you speak english?" She asked before feeling the bird nervously place its wing on her hip. "Easy there, not until the second date." She teased, smacking his wing away.

Getting off him, they both stood up as she stared at the seemingly confused Avian. "Well, since you live here can you take me to where the other prisoners are?" He cocked his head. Nihja rolled her eyes before pacing a bit. "Okay, here." She reached for his wing before pointing it towards her and then back towards the darkness. "Take... meee. Guide... meee. Can you understand that?"

With a soft red hue to it, he nodded and pulled her by the hand as he led the way. 'Finally, didn't think that would work' she thought. He led her through a few twists and curves before arriving to a doorway and pointing there. She smiled and kissed his beak, making him blush softly in return. "Thank you, now who's behind door number one?" She teased before walking through.
