Wherever the road takes them Part One

After taking a shower and dressing, Evelyn went back to Spencer, who also put his clothes on. He looked to Evelyn and then asked "So, what do you want to do today?"

"Hmm... haven't put that much thought into it, to be honest."

"You wanna just relax?"

"No, I think I wanna be outside today."

"Sure... why don't we just drive around?"

"See where the road takes us?"

"Well, you don't have a better idea."

Evelyn conceded his point with a shrug. "Fair point."

The two head to Spencer's SUV. As Spencer started the engine, he asked "So how's the hunt for a new car going?"

"No luck so far, but I've got the money in the bank, so that's a start."

"You got a planned budget?"

"Ten-grand. I'll save the rest."

"That strick?"

"Well, if something really nice comes up for the right price I'll consider it."

"I'll keep it in mind."

"So how was your weekend?"

"Pretty good."

"Just kicked back?"

"Well yeah. I did practice some cooking."

"Oh. Trying to impress someone?"

"Only someone who's worth impressing."

Evelyn smiled. "Maybe I'll have to step up my game."

"Ehh... I think you've got a while."

"Phew."

"Speaking about cooking, shall we get some lunch before our adventure?"

"Hmm... I suppose it's best to adventure on a full stomach."
