Anxiety

Late in the morning, Spencer pulled up by the Oxford Art Gallery, where he found Cindy waiting. With a nervous smile, he walked up to her and said "Hey."

"Hey Spencer." Cindy gave him a tight hug and a kiss on the lips.

Spencer looked to her smile. He couldn't deny that he had his doubts, but that smile made them fade away.

"Someone's happy." He said.

"Why wouldn't I be?"

"Of course. Shall we go in?"

"Sure."

Spencer moved around the gallery with Cindy. The situation proved to be a stinging reminder of his dates with Kirstin, following her around art galleries for brownie points. It didn't help that there weren't any new pictures to keep him from pondering the past. Still, those pictures managed to keep Cindy from noticing his anxiousness.

Once done with the gallery, the two walk through Oxford park towards the Oxford Diner. As the two strolled, Cindy asked "You okay Spence?"

"Yeah umm... just a bit nervous." He lets out a little laugh.

"Hey, I am too."

"At least I'm not alone."

Cindy chuckled. "Look, I know things have kinda changed-"

"That's what makes you so fun. You're just like... chaos in motion."

After another giggle, Cindy said "So what do you think will happen next week?"

"I dunno. That's what makes you so much fun."

"That I'm random?"

"Among other things."

Cindy gave him a smirk. "Like?"

Spencer returned a cocky look. "I think you know."

The two then enter the diner and order lunch. As they ate, Spencer wondered what was going through Cindy's mind. He wondered if confronting her with his own anxieties had added to hers. Her face betrayed no signs, but Spencer knew all too well that things how different appearances could be from what's truly underneath.

After the meal, Cindy's foot grazed Spencer's leg. "So, any more plans?"

"Not really." Spencer said. "What did you have in mind?"

The sinful little smile Spencer had grown to love lit up Cindy's face once more. "How about we go back to my place?"
