What's next?
Protect Sura
I waited for them to get close to Sura. One went to grab her while the other looked around. The second the one grabbed her I made my move. I swung the chain striking one in the face. The other turned toward me and Sura struck him in the balls. I threw the length of chain around his neck and pulled hard. The knight grabbed a torch off the wall and shoved it into the face of the one on the ground as he screamed. The crowd of people moved to the walls to get out of the way as two more entered. Sura charged one while the knight took the other. Mine spun me around and shoved me backward into the wall hard then he leaned forward and slung me over his shoulder as I hit the ground hard and stood on my chest as I tried to catch my breath. Sura and the knight went down pretty fast as well. We might have stood a chance with weapons but against the Orcs physical strength we were no match.
"Take them to. Put them with the others. If they wish to fight they will get it." The lead orc yelled. They lead us out and into the great hall where orcs lined both walls as they yelled at us trying to make us show fear. At the throne I saw an Orc with no collar sitting with a crown upon his head. To his left sat Cassandra who stood when she saw me but a young noble grabbed her arm. I shook my head no at her and she sat down. To the other side of him stood the dark elf woman I had faced yesterday. I heard a noise above me. I glanced up to see a Robin glancing down at me which I thought was odd.
"Welcome humans, today you will fight again for our entertainment as King Luther made our ancestors fight when he defeated our people. Those who win will live to see another day and will be one step closer to..."
"So you say." I spoke up and stepped out. "How about you face me and lets see..." I began to say as I got hit in the face sending me down onto my knees.
"You dare challenge me human?" The orc said as he gripped the arm wrest. I saw the ring on his finger. He was the general.
"Why not, unless you don't have the balls for it." I spat out blood and went to stand back up. The orc was about to hit me again.
"Stop." An orc woman said.
"You dare command me." The orc looked at her.
"No but a challenge has been made and must be answered." She said
"It is our way." Another spoke up and several nodded. It seemed his control over them was far from absolute. The only thing keeping any of them from killing him was probably that he literally held their lives in his hand.
"Perhaps so, but if the general dies you all die." The orc standing next to me said.
"Then take the ring off if you have any balls." I could see the anger in his face. The dark elf spoke as she stepped forward. "He will pick a champion to represent him in this. If the human wins he will be let go."
"Allow me to kill this man general. He is a weakling not fit of your time." The big guy I had a tussle with down stairs said.
"Very well." The general nodded and held out his hand toward a table. "Choose your weapons." I went over and looked at what I had. Sadly no bow so I could kill the general on the throne but that would probably mean mine and Sura's **** along with every orc in here. I went to pick up a sword but stopped and grabbed a hand ax.
"You plan to pick your teeth little one." The orc gave a laugh as he picked up a battle ax.
"All I need to kill you." I smiled and grabbed another. "This one is for the next guy."
"I will make it a clean ****."
"Good. I would hate for you to suffer." I smiled and we moved back into the middle as the other prisoners where moved off to the side as we put a little distance between one another.
"Any last words human?" The general asked and I shook my head. I only had one shot at this. "Fight."
"Ahh..." The orc yelled as he charged at me. I did the same and ran at him and slung the ax and slid dodging his swing that flew over my head. I heard him hit the ground behind me. I saw the general gripping the throne tightly and threw the other ax sideways. It cleaved into the front of the arm wrest and cut off his fingers.
"Kill him." The general yelled but only a few orcs moved. He looked around to see most just stood there doing nothing. Then looked at his hand to realize the ring was gone. I charged toward him going for the ring. One orc went to stop me and he took an arrow to the face. Another was cut down in his tracks by an orc wearing a collar. The witch aimed at me as she held out her hand.
"Fulgur egrediens..." But never got to finish the spell as someone appeared behind her.
"Sonum impetus tempestatis." A voice yelled as the witch went to turn but got flung through the air like a rage doll as well as several orcs in the path of the whirlwind. I saw it was Princess Seren though she had a fire in her eye like I had never seen before. "Impetus porro venti." She threw up her hand and held it as arrow after arrow fired at her hit a wall of air knocking them to one side or the other. "Oblito lux mico." She added blinding the archers with a flash of light as well as anyone else dumb enough to look that way.
The general reached for his finger on the a second before I reached him but not before the lord of the castle had reached him first and cut off his hand at the wrist with the Ax I had thrown. The general scream out in pain. I picked up the finger and pulled off the ring and slid it onto my thumb since it was to big for my hand.
"Stop." I yelled as loud as I could and everyone did as I commanded. One of the loyalist who wasn't wearing a collar charged at me and took an arrow to the back of the head. I saw the female orc archer who had spoke up for me earlier lower her bow.
"Debita clausum reserare." Seren said several feet away and my collar came off.
"You think you have won." The general laughed. "You have no idea what is coming for you."
"I know what is coming for you." I smiled as I looked down on him and drew his sword.
"Go on then. Kill me boy like you wanted."
