Chapter 111 by zewesman zewesman

"Wait, what just happened?" asked Miho as Fran walked past them all and John gave them a sign to leave her be, all his women completely confused.

Enemies and Allies Form

In the conference room of the Amerikanisches Reichskommissariat

“Mein Fuhrer, we still cannot locate the fugitives. We are unable to continue our search because of the increased presence of the Order,” reported a rather short and fat German officer. His greased back black hair and brown eyes clearly showed that he was not Hitler’s ideal German soldier. But the Nazis worked with what they could get, as long as they were pure Germans.

“Explain,” the voice said, clearly spoke through a modulator as the voice did not sound human at all. The hologram of the leader sat in a chair meant for whoever was in charge of that station.

“It seems the Order is searching for a fugitive of their own. They’ve called back every soldier they have spread across this country to continue the search. Even the Inquisitors have been spotted. We believe this fugitive is the same late bloomer we are interested in. Our own scouts and spies have been unable to locate him. These troop movements clearly indicate the Order is willing to do a full blown military strike that hasn’t been done by them or any other major power in approximately 300 years,” reported the officer, his head lowered at the end to show his respect.

“I see,” said the mysterious leader. There was a short pause as this man thought what to do next. It only took a few moments before he finalized his plans for the Nazi troops in America. “Continue production of the shock troops and order all troops still in the open to fall back to a safe house. We will let the Order and this late bloomer tire each other out and then strike them both down at once. With the Order out of the way, we can begin the next phase of our plans unmediated on America. Once any Abyssal organization notices what we are doing, it’ll be far too late for them to stop us. Then our leader’s glorious plans will come to fruition and the Third Reich will finally unite the world under our banner!” the voice said, emotion clearly poured through despite the robotic voice. His prowess of speaking was clear to any who listened.

“Of course, mein Fuhrer. What of our two fugitives? What if they speak of what we are doing?” asked the portly German, afraid of what his leader may do to him for allowing them to escape.

“Nothing. Who would believe them? A necromancer and a slutty looking mercenary. Not exactly ones the Order would listen to. They would most likely throw them in cells and eventually **** them, just to make sure. We are safe, do not worry, they are insignificant in the long term. Now go, and do try to not fail this time,” the voice said before he terminated the communication device.

“As you wish,” muttered the German officer as he turned and left the room. The conference room was located right off from the Operational Command room. He looked over at the various monitors that were linked into the various outposts from across the country. Most of the outposts located in the US were research of their unique Abyssal creatures and how the Third Reich could properly weaponize them. Some have actually been quite successful.

A quick glance at a monitor that was located in Colorado showed a strange, worm-like creature as it dug through its artificial desert habitat. The locals dubbed the creature “augerino” after the auger. This creature’s body shape was basically a natural corkscrew, with a point on its head to pierce the ground to dig through it. It’s skin was nearly impervious, saving them a lot of work. All they had to do was drop it in an enemy barrier and the thing would destroy anything that held moisture, since the augerino’s habitat is naturally dry and it would attempt to change any area to match that.

A shift of the officer’s head to another monitor, this one in Texas, showed a pack of chupacabras as they feasted on the livestock for their lunch. These creatures were found in a barrier in Puerto Rico via a scouting mission. The group brought back a breeding pair that went well until some escaped the barrier and got into the real world. Luckily for them, Gaia didn’t immediately smite the entire facility. Nazi scholars’ best guess was that she enjoyed the folklore and fairy tales that the mundane humans created around the creatures. Plus their cleaners found and retrieved the creatures within three days of the escape.

Another monitor showed the results of a rather ambitious and questionable experiment that was conducted. Early Nazi surveyors had heard stories of the rougarou, a bastardized pronunciation of the French loup-garou. So, the Nazis simply brushed them off as your standard werewolves. That all changed when they went to a village where a group lived. The nazis came during the day when the moon had just started a new cycle. There was zero chance of a werewolf turning, so the troops were quite surprised when the humans transformed and tore through the troops. Once found out that this subgroup of werewolves could control when they changed, a breeding initiative quickly made to make the perfect shock troops: the advantages of werewolves but with the full minds of Nazis. A handful of German rougarous were bred before the project was shutdown after some of the more conservative members of the party decided that it was polluting the German bloodline, not improving it.

“What did the Fuhrer say?” asked a new, young German officer. The older man snapped out of his recollection of how they gained their collection and moved to answer the question.

“Order all troops still in the field to return to the nearest safehouse. All plans are to continue. The Order’s problems do not concern us but will certainly help us. I shall be leaving soon to go to Springfield to oversee the final stages of their project. If we can perfect that, then we can begin our next operation,” he told the young man, who saluted his superior before he rushed off to carry out the orders he was given.

Meanwhile, in a barrier in a secret meeting place

“So, do you think you could aid him?” asked Sarah, hidden in her light blue robes, hood up to cover her face. She looked directly into the eyes of the older man she was talking to, who was flanked by two others that Sarah could not make out. The man stared silently at her, as if he was deeply contemplating her request.

“I can see why the Jedi Council did not approve your request. While I’m sure they had a very valid reason as to why they cannot help, the true reason is they are afraid. Afraid of the Order. Afraid of what will happen if they are found out to still exist. We, however, are far more flexible than our Jedi brethren,” said the man cloaked in grey robes. “We shall aid your friend in his time of need. Just give us the information when you can and we shall be there. Stay safe padawan, and tell your master hello for me,” he said as he begun to turn to leave with his companions. Sarah had opened her mouth to speak but was cut off before she could even start. “And yes, she does know you are here. You are not as sneaky as you think you are,” he said with a chuckle as he left.

“Yeah...yeah you’re probably right Master Nossle...” she said as she left to return to the Jedi Enclave.

Meanwhile, back with John and company...
