Captured

When you come to and open your eyes, you can't see anything. It takes you a few seconds to realize that there's a hood over your head. You're sitting on an uncomfortable wooden chair and the palms of your hands are in front of you on a flat surface. Your first instinct is to use your magic rings, but when you try to move your hands, you find that they are stuck to the surface.

"Hello?" you say, trying to remember how you got into this position. The last thing you can recall is the woman in red's face, and then nothing else. She must have done something to you but your memory is a bit fuzzy.

"Hello?!" you repeat, this time louder and with more urgency, feeling a little panicked at your situation. There's no answer and you struggle with hands again, but it seems like there's some metal around your wrists that's holding them down to the surface, which you've surmised is a table. After a while, you give up and start to wonder what's happened to Pammy and if she's in a similar situation too, when you hear a door open. There are some footsteps and the door closes. If you had to guess, 2 people just entered.

"Is he awake?" It's a gravelly male voice that you've never heard before.

"He is." You recognize the second voice. It's the woman in red.

"You searched him?"

"Yes. No other oddities except for the 5 rings on his right hand."

"You weren't able to remove them?"

"No. I assume they can only be removed by the wearer. I think they're activated by pressing on the stones. I saw him do that. That's why I secured his hands to the table."

"Good," the man says. The next thing you know, the hood covering your head is pulled off. You blink as your eyes try to adjust to the light and you look around. You're in a small room. The only pieces of furniture are the chair you're sitting on and the table you're bound to. Curiously, the table is metal and your wrists are bound to by 2 strips of metal that seems to have grown out of it and wrapped themselves around your wrists. To your left, there's a large mirror where you can see yourself and the 2 people standing on the other side of the table. It must be a 2-way mirror and you're in some sort of an interrogation room.

Finally, you turn your attention to your interrogators, the woman in red and the man with the gravelly voice. The man with the gravelly voice is wearing a blue suit and tie, with a matching blue fedora. Even his belt and suede shoes are blue too. In the lighted room now, you have a better view of the woman in red. She's about 30, with dark tanned skin. The scar across her face adds a certain toughness without taking away any of her beauty. The man in blue, on the other hand, looks a lot older, although you can't guess his age. His hair is dark black and vibrant, but his face is leathery with dozens of permanent wrinkles and his mouth looks like it belongs on a bulldog.

"What's your name?" the man in blue asks.

You don't answer the question. "I want a lawyer."

The man in blue scoffs and shakes his head. "You don't get a lawyer here."

"I know my rights-" you start to say, before the man bangs the table with his fist to cut you off.

"No lawyer! This is the Bureau of Oddities and Abnormalities. We don't operate by the laws you know. Name!"

You take a deep breath, still not answering the question. You look to the woman in red, and she has her arms crossed, staring down at you. "Tell us about the rings. What powers do they give you?" she asks.

Again, you don't answer, trying to think about what to do. Without being able to use your rings, you're not sure if you're going to be able to get out of this situation, although you're not even entirely sure what situation this is or what authority these people have over you.
