Company Christmas Card !

"It's annual awards time Deb and you've been nominated" said Carol. "Do you want me to write your acceptance speech for you ?" she asked. "Oh could you ? You are a treasure, I'm so busy" Debbi replied. "Sure, no problem !"

Debbi was pleased that Carol had done so, because when the award was announced in the Maximising Remote Employee Engagement category for her work Flexibility in Fulfilling Corporate Mandates, she had no recollection of it whatsoever. She had been involved in so much during the course of the year though, so she was not unduly surprised. She remained just a little puzzled that she never somehow managed to work out how to gain access to the presentation subsequently, Carol having placed several obstacles for her particular company ID.

The award was in fact for the live recording of her medical exam which Carol had instigated and made available. Debbi said in her acceptance, reading the speech Carol had drafted for her "I am so happy and gratified that this work has proved to be so stimulating and I encourage you all to watch it again, or for the first time if you haven't yet seen it. Carol also used this speech for Debbi to announce that, following on from the successful implementation of business process requirements 2155.b and 2155.c, Carol had now prepared 2155.d which would allow designated files on the company server to be made available to any outside customers that had a need to access them for liaison purposes. Carol had set up a test file that could be so made available ( called debbi.test.pics ! )

Carol was again highly satisfied with her work and Debbi was so busy and distracted that the results and implications were lost on her. She was, however, unable to ignore the copy of the official company Christmas card that landed on her desk. "Carol" she yelled. "What's this ?" Carol sauntered into the office. "It's the official company Christmas card silly. We all have copies to send and the company's using it for all our business associates." Jeff had not taken much persuading that one of the 'safe for work' photos that Carol had taken of Debbi would prove to be very attractive for both staff and customers. They had photo-shopped a red Santa hat onto Debbi's head.

"But it's me ?" Debbi wailed. "Of course it is" said Carol. "But with no clothes on ?" Debbi protested. "But you can't really see anything too naughty. You knew we were taking safe shots for the company card" Carol explained. "But I thought that was a joke" Debbi cried. "Oh well, no harm done. Everyone likes it. You should be flattered" Carol rationalized. "Should I ?" Debbi was sceptical. "Of course you should silly" Carol said reassuringly !
