Chapter 11 by ThomasMoro ThomasMoro

What happens next?

Dorothy wakes up

The next morning, Dorothy awoke to find herself in a middle of a poppy field.

"My gosh," said Dorothy. "It seems like I've been sleeping for hours. And I'm no closer to getting back my clothes than I was yesterday."

At this point, the Scarecrow woke up as well.

"Where am I?" said the Scarecrow, trying to stifle a yawn. "Oh, yes, I'm in a poppy field."

"It's about time you guys got up," said the Tin Man. "Some broad in a soap bubble came by and started saying all kinds of nonsense."

"That must be the Good Witch of the East," said Dorothy. "Where did she go?"

"How should I know?" said the Tin Man. "She wasn't my type so she took off."

"But you could have woke me up," said Dorothy.

"Sorry," said the Tin Man. "I had no idea she was your type. I didn't think you swung that way though that would explain a lot."

"Tin Man!"

"What did I say?" asked the Tin Man.

"Anyway, we're up now," said the Scarecrow. "What say we hit that Emerald City?"

"You mean that big city over right on the other side of the hill?" asked the Tin Man.

"Yes," said the Scarecrow.

"Won't your friend here be a little conspicuous once we hit the big city?" asked the Tin Man.

"I'm sure she won't mind," said the Scarecrow.

"Scarecrow!"

"Hey, look!" said the Tin Man. "Up in the sky. Am I seeing what I think I'm seeing?"

What does the Tin Man see?
