He doesn't take it that seriously

Don't you think that if the gods would want us to know some higher truths or hidden mysteries they would be a little more clear then some vague images of Dragons and..." he paused for dramatic effect "... red spiders and golden rats!?"

Dany turned away from him "Are you mocking me?"

"Nooo..." Aegon quickly answered. He did not plan on alienating his little Dany "I just don't think you should't worry about those dreams that much. I know father always told you they where slivers from the... What did he call it? Divine gathering of the Buried...?"

"Maybe I was wrong coming to you..." Dany was about to rise from his bed "My dreams are something special, you are just like the rest" Danys usually sweet voice became alive with violet fire "If you don't know how to appreciate them I won't ..."

Well that is not going so well Aegon thought. She is clearly too stressed to see reason and too far into the old mans arcane "Dragoncave"...

Figuring that he need to lay the classic Aegon charm he took her hand into his. "I am sorry my princess" he apologized in a deep melodic tone "I did not mean to ridicule your divine inspiration. I simply worried about you. I see that those dragon dreams take a toll on you. I am not the sage my father was. I am not a scholar you know that..." He placed his hand on her knee "If you say that this dream was a vision of any sort then I will take I serious and I will do whatever I can to support you and your very special gift" he gently caressed her tigh slowly working his way up "Is there anything I can do to make you comfortable my princess?"
