Chapter 10 by ThomasMoro ThomasMoro

What happens next?

Dorothy talks some more to the Tin Man

"Not talking to me?" asked Dorothy. "Then who are you talk -- Oh!"

"My, I'm flattered," said the Scarecrow. "This is all so sudden."

"Scarecrow!" said Dorothy.

"Er-Tin Man, can I call you that?"asked the Scarecrow.

"You can call me anything you want, toots!" said the Tin Man.

"Well, in that case, can you do me and my friend a big favor and retrieve her dress from that bad old apple tree over there?" asked the Scarecrow.

"Anything for you, toots!" said the Tin Man and off he went with his great big ax.

Five minutes later, the Tin Man came back with Dorothy's dress in hand.

"That was fast," said the Scarecrow.

"Well, the tree saw me coming and it chose to spit it out at me," said the Tin Man. "So how about we both make out?"

"Scarecrow!"

"Hush, Dorothy, me and the Tin Man are talking," the Scarecrow said.

The Scarecrow handed Dorothy her dress but before she could put it on, yet another flying monkey swooped down and took it away from her.

"Gee," said the Scarecrow as the monkey flew off toward the west, "there seems to be a whole bunch of those guys flying around today."

What does Dorothy do next?
