The Tin Man helps out -- sorta

"So what am I going to do now?" said Dorothy.

"I don't know," said the Scarecrow. "Maybe follow that monkey and get your clothes back?"

"But that monkey flew away so fast," said Dorothy. "How will I ever manage to catch up with it?"

"Oh, I'm pretty sure I knew where it went."

"Where's that?"

"The home of the Wicked Witch of the West," said the Scarecrow.

"You mean I have to go there?" asked Dorothy.

"I'm afraid so," said the Scarecrow.

"Isn't there any other choice?"

"Well, there is the Emerald City," said the Scarecrow.

"You mean the home of the fabulous Wizard of Oz?" asked Dorothy.

"The same."

"And you think the Wizard will help me get my clothes back?"

"Not a chance," said the Scarecrow. "But they do have a lot of nifty shops in the Emerald City."

"That won't help me, Scarecrow," said Dorothy. "I don't have any money."

"Maybe you can ask someone there for money," said the Scarecrow. "Like that nice Tin Man."

"I don't know," said Dorothy. "For some reason, I don't think he's that nice. Besides, he's not likely to have any money because he doesn't have any pockets."

"Oh, right," said the Scarecrow. "But look! Here he comes now!"

At that moment, the Tin Man walked up, ax in one hand, Dorothy's dress in another. Unfortunately, for Dorothy, her dress was now in tatters -- so much so that when she reached for it, it literally fell apart.

"What am I going to do now?" she asked.

"I don't know, toots," said the Tin Man. "I actually prefer the outfit you're already wearing."

"But I'm not wearing an outfit," said Dorothy.

"That's what I like about it," said the Tin Man.
