Chapter 16 by The Night
Will Amethyst Escape?
Not Just Yet.
As Roseanontity approached, she reached out to stop me from swaying…..by putting her hand on my chest and squeezing my breast a bit. I hoped she couldn’t see the blush forming on me cheeks. It only got worse as she started circling me. Tracing her hand across my stomach, butt and legs. She even ran her fingers through my ponytail. As if this situation couldn’t get any stranger.
She stopped and knelt down so that she could look me in the eyes. “If I had known the lovely Amethyst was going to pay me a visit, I would have dressed more appropriately. Maybe prepared a nice dinner for two.” She said in a playful tone. “But you’ve caught me in the middle of work, so I’m afraid I don’t have time to entertain you. Tell you what, since you are new to this superhero thing, I’ll ungag you so you can tell me why you have come here. If I can help, then I will and send you on your way. How does that sound?” A little too good to be true honestly. But this might be a good chance to get what I came fore so I nodded my head in agreement.
Rosenontity snapped her figures and the leaf unwrapped itself from my mouth. “Now, what is your purpose here sweetie.” She said. “I’m looking for someone. But I don’t really know who. They captured me and left me on a roof a few nights ago. And for some reason, they seem to have deleted a week from my memory. I need to figure out who they are but the only clue I had was a blue rose that they left with me. It’s one of yours so I hoped you would have a list of names I could go through.” As I explained myself, Rosenontity’s playful expression changed to one of discontent. “Well, that is an interesting story. But I am afraid I cannot help you. Who I sell my flowers to is none of your business. Not to mention, that the person you are looking for is very dangerous.” She knew something. That much I could tell. “If you want my advice honey, I suggest you drop it. Chase after some other criminal. Now be a dear and leave the premises.” She turned to walk away. Confused, I spoke up “Hey, I’m still hanging here. How can I leave if I’m tied to a tree.” She turned away with a sly smile on her face. “I said I would send you on your way. I never said I was going to untie you.” She giggled and disappeared from my view.
I should have known it wasn’t going to be that easy. Now alone, I pulled one of my knifes and started cutting through the vines. Thankfully I had taken the time to add a serrated edge to my knifes after struggling to cut the ropes that held me on the roof. Before long my arms and hands where free. I bent up to cut my legs loose, forgetting that I was suspended in the air as I cut the last vine and plummeted to the hard ground. Things where just not going my way tonight. I was tempted to heed what she had said and just leave but it was clear that Rosenontity knew something about the person I was looking for. What to do?
